Do you still dye and hide eggs for your children on Easter?

I remember when I was a child, the Saturday before Easter, my mother would split a dozen eggs among my siblings. There were three of us, so we each got four eggs. We could die our eggs any way we wanted to. On Easter Sunday, after breakfast and church, we would be able to hide the eggs. It was a fun time. Do you dye and hide Easter eggs with your children?

My kids and I dye eggs every year, but we do not hide the dyed ones. Knowing my luck they would not find them all and the house would start to stink.

When my son was younger, the church gave the kids eggs, candy etc. A week or so later, whenever I got into my car, I smelled this awful smell. After searching for the smell, I found a rotten Easter egg that was given to my son, under the seat. I guess in his effects trying to get the candy out of the easter basket, an egg fell and rolled under the seat.

I love doing that when I was a kid, together with my cousins. We paint the eggs, make it really colorful and after that, my uncles and aunts hide it and we all run and seek for those eggs. Each eggs come with a prize so it was really fun and we took it seriously, lol But, I don't get to do that these days. I'm 21 now and it would be awkward I think to still play but I love Easter Sunday, 'nothing like it.
