Geocaching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit. The basic idea is to have individuals and organizations set up caches all over the world and share the locations of these caches on the internet. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache. Could be good exercise. Would you participate?

I had heard the name before, but I was not really sure what it was. It does sound like it could be fun. Almost like a scavenger hunt I guess. Not sure if I would actually do it though.

When I first heard about geocaching I thought that it sounded like a lot of fun. My fiance had tried it before, and I was eager to join, so one day we decided to go geocaching together. We spent a lot of time looking for the cache, but we never found anything, and I must admit that I don't have the patience to participate in something like that. It was fun at first, but I started to lose interest when we had been searching in vain for a long time. We had to leave without the finding the cache, but my fiance returned later and after talking to the person who had hidden the cache he finally managed to find it.

Sounds like it might be good for exercise though. My little brother and his family just started. They like it.

Actually nope I have never heard of it. I will have to search it online to check it out. Sounds like fun, but also in these times..expensive. But if I had a GPS I would be willing to try it at least once. Good be fun and become addictive..like a treasure hunt for GPS's.

I've never done it myself, though it looks like fun! I would participate, but I don't have GPS on anything I own (although I'd LOVE to have one!) All of the park systems in my area have geocaching clubs, and they have games they do with it to find their hidden cache within the park.
