Some email providers treat some emails as spams. Have you received an important mail which went directly on your spam folder? Do you check your spam mails before deleting them?

Hello modstar, I did receive important e-mails which went straight to my spam folder. Very unfortunate, most of the time I just delete my spam folder without reading it. One time I was waiting for my e-mail and kept scolding the other party for not sending it to me. In fact, that person sent many times and all went to my spam folder. I only realized it when he asked me to check my spam folder first!

It's frustrating right? Your email providing should have been the one on the receiving end of being scolded.

I have recieved an email that was important in my spam folder. I do not really understand why it happened either. I had recieved emails from this person before. The person was also in my contact list with the same adress. The email was not in a new format or anything. I do not understand why it does this sometimes, but it is very irritating. I'm just glad that I check my spam before it is deleted.

That was close! I think Yahoo should come up with a stronger spam filter.

Yes, i remember once i had contacted an important person regarding some studio work, and I never got the reply . Later I was just surfing though my spam and there it was! I don't know why yahoo categorized it as spam but it could have been deleted by my in yahoo mail beta. beta needs some polishing to be done, some times it takes a very long time to open mails.

That's the danger of deleting spams. We should really check our spams first.

This happened to me yesterday. I saw an email in my spam folder that was very important message about something I am selling on kijiji. I have no idea why it ended up there and I was alarmed at that because I don't usually pay much attention to the spam folder as it can easily get 200 emails in the darn thing. Too much work to look through the subject lines of that many e-mails to find only one or two important ones. But I guess I will have to be more careful. Anything that involves gift card numbers or paypal stuff goes through only one account though that I never give anyone else so that one don't get spammed and it is easy to see everything there and I do check just in case.

I did encounter some important emails that went to my spam folder. So usually I always check my spam mails before I delete them just to insure that its not that important or to see whether its important.

Oh yeah, a lot of times it happens. That is why I always check on the spam folder before deleting all the files in there.

I've had a few important emails that end up in the spam folder (not many). I usually check my spam mails before I delete them.....but sometimes if I haven't logged on for days and the spam mail is too much to go through...I delete everything without checking.

I have and that's just scary because it's from a customer she even asked me the same question she asked in the email, the one that went to spam folder I told her the truth that I found the email in my spam folder I don't know if she believes me but if she doesn't I can't blame her it's not the first time she sent me e-mail so how come one went to the right folder and the other went to the wrong one? it's from the same email address! but yeah fortunately I did check some spam emails. not all. a lot of them are downright spam I can tell without opening and the only time an email went there by mistake was just that one occassion

Yes, that happens to me sometimes. I used to have my spam filter set to delete spam as soon as they arrived but changed that so I'd have a chance to look them over before deleting them. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I'd hate to lose an important email simply because my email program thought it was spam! I always look them over before deleting them.

Yes, there are many times already that the message that I'm waiting for can't be found in inbox but in spam. At first, I though they really didn't send me the emails since I don't usually check emails in spam because I know that there's nothing really interesting or important message can be found. I keep on sending message to that person informing him that I still didn't receive his email then he also keep sending the message to me. I don't know what came into my mind but I had check the emails in my spam then that's the time I saw the messages that I'd waiting for.

Many times, yes. Even the updates for earnings in pickjack lands in my spam. I don;t know if it's the same thing for other members. I don't delete my spam right away. I check the content first. What I hate about recently is that I'm getting updates about viagra from a certain manufacturer and I don't have the slightest idea how they came to land in my email account! Now what would I use a viagra for?! To keep my nasal hair erected? LOL

I always check my junk folder before deleting the stuff in it. Every so often emails from people who are on my friends list end up there. Never figured out why, perhaps it's when more than one piece gets delivered at exactly the same time. Who knows? Not to worry however, I get plenty of junk in my inbox to make up for it.

I've got an email confirmation for my online booking at a resort that went directly to my spam folder. I always check the emails that go directly to my spam folder though before deleting them.
