The US Constitution is the framework by which all federal government activities, decisions, laws and policies are to be made. Through this document, We the People grant limited authority to act to the 3 Branches of our federal government. It is very specific in detailing what We the People of the United States want the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch to do for our nation. The 10th Amendment states that anything not covered in the US Constitution is the business of the Several States and We the People. Here is a link to an online copy of the US Constitution. I over the link because most of us aren't so well versed in the articles, sections and amendments that we can rattle them off at will. http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.overview.html Ok, you're challenge (if you choose to accept it) is to defend the actions of President Obama so far. By defending the actions of the President so far, I mean defending his actions. I don't mean making excuses for him, or telling us about what Prs. Bush did or didn't do. Congress is just as responsible for what makes it to the big decisions about laws and policies as the president, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid both have rights, responsibilities and authority under the US Constitution. So let's not them off the hook here. So here's your chance folks. Let's hear what you have to say.

I do not think that Obama has any rights ubder the Constitution, since i do not think that Obama is the lawful president of the United States. Obama was adopted by the Indonesian man Obama's mother was married to (making Obama a Indonesian citizen) and, as I understand it, Obama's relatives in Kenya say that he was born over there. (Please notice that Obama did not invite his Kenya realtives to the inauguration.) To be president, you have to be a native born citizen of the United States and not a citizen of a foreign country.

Sorry, but I will never defend anything that Obama or the Congress has done in this administration or the last. They are carring us post haste into Communism and dragging the rest of the world with them. It may be that folks richer and more powerful than they, are actually pulling their strings, but they are allowing it to happen and are hastening the actions. This Congress and Obama have no redeeming qualities. Obama should be removed from office and most of Congress should be also. If they feel that it is OK to pass bill for billions of our dollars without even reading them then the are not even attempting to fullfil their fiduciary responsibilities. They do not even have a concept of what their jobs are nor do they care. Our country is going down the tubes. We are no longer free. Each day another freedom is being taken from us. Even our little children are losing their freedoms and will be turned against us. No I will not make excuses for them nor defend their actions. If their was another country that was not also being destroyed by the U.S. I would opt to live there. But it seems that we are out to destroy the whole world. Shalom~Adoniah

Good luck ted, I have done about ahlf a dozen posts and another dozen responses in the last months trying to get people to do the same thing. Some of the things I thought I made it easy, some of the things I brought up were even started under bush, but I guess the caviet that they couldn't use that fact in the argument voided the discussion for them.

Good luck with that PT2K. Obamabots just aren't any good at defending what they voted for. Half of them probably don't even remember who they voted for.

I'm not defending anything but I didn't want to give the impression that I'm in support of what has been going on with my silence. I'm not and, as you well know, I've been pestering my state representatives about a number of objections I've had over a number of issues for months now.

yeh, but you have been pretty fair in your views and have ciritisized when things weren't right. You at least think for yourself and aren't married to a party letter.

Thanks, x. I think some folks have forgotten that my official party letter is still an "R" and that I have a history of voting for the candidate and not the party. My decision to switch from McCain to Obama was a long and difficult one following a period of complete uncertainty and disillusionment that I posted about on this board often. But, regardless of who I cast my vote for, my country comes first and I won't blindly follow what I know is wrong or destructive for it's future.

No problem Spalladino, we agree some and disagree some, but with the "candidate" the RNC put up, well... I can see why you weren't excited to go with him. There was a lot of differences between McCain and Obama... but not much of it was good.

They can't defend it, and unless they post to call you a racist, blame Bush, or tell you to "give 0bama a chance", you will not see them here.
