http://www.rr.com/entertainment/entertainment/article/1402/7346406/Demi_Moore_linked_to_a_Twitter-based_intervention A woman posted a suicide threat on Demi Moore's Twitter page, Moore replied asking if the woman was joking or not. Fans of Moore see this interaction, and call police, the woman is admitted to the hospital for a 72 hour psych hold. Amazing what technology can do these days!

Hey kats! I am very glad that however this woman was found that they did find her in the nick of time before she was able to actually fulfill her actual threat! I don't think that it is right that she did place this kind of problem on Demi or anyone for that matter! I am glad that there were others to help her in her time of need though! It was good that she was able to reach out and get help! However it was done I am greatful that Demi was a part of it and she was able to be the catalyst however she was!

I agree, she really shouldn't have placed her problem on someone else, but at least she got the help.

Well, it is good that she responded to the message instead of ignoring it and chalking it up to a crazy fan.

My guess is that had she ignored it, everyone else would have too. The fact that she acknowledged it is what got that woman some help.

It is a nice feeling to be able to help other people especially when you are able to save a life.

I read the same piece of news too but the news I read, it is Moore who contacted the police! Stars nowadays are that far away because they are on twitter and facebook and etc. like all the rest of us. Anyway, well done, Moore!

That is amazing. I wonder if she would have posted that to anyone else's "blog". I know Twitter isn't a blog, but I don't use it, so I don't know what to call it. Maybe she felt a connection to Demi Moore and felt she could share it to her. Yeah, that isn't normal, so I'm glad they officers found cause to keep her in psychological care for a 72 hour evaluation. This is interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Yes it is an amazing technology.I before some years i heard that a girl effected with some asthama and unable to breath and she just ask for help on yahoo(i think,i forgot actual messanger) and a boy replied to her and asked that she is joking or not.Lastly he conformed that she is serious and not joking. The boy just called her mother and her mother made call to that country police and told the girls address. And police searched and found her.Lastly she was saved. Amazing technology and it is very helpful when we are in serious or in need.

It is true that it is amazing what technology can do these days. I'm glad that there were some people, who were smart enough to intervene, and do something about it. This shows that there are still some people, who are still smart out there.
