but I have been down sick lately and haven't seen much news and stuff unless I have gleamed it from here. What the hell are the tea parties exactly? Thanks and please no throwing of rocks :D

My understanding is that there is going to be two grass roots movements going on on April 15th. One is for fair taxes. that is doing way with the tax code we now have and putting in a use tax instead. That is paying a tax on what you buy so that you get to take your whole pay check home. The other is a bring together of Americans to where we were on September 12 2001 after the attack on the twin towers. Tea parties are based on the Boston Tea Party back when the colonists threw tea in the harbor to protest the "tea tax" that the British started levying. The modern day version is the basically the same idea. Groups of citizens across the nation are getting together and throwing tea into the water to protest the raising of taxes and the excessive spending of the administration. It is a form of civil protest.
