Hi guys, I missed all of my friends here in mylots especially the sweet ones. How are you. My discussion is in regards with my problems, first of all you will see my always on Mylot, im back again. Our computer were back application to MS windows so I can visit Mylot everyday, but my problem is I have some documents and many pictures left on my Linux application, they retrieved some Excel and words documents but sadly the pictures did not. Can the pictures still be retrieved. The pictures are all placed in different folders and these pictures are important to me, that include the pictures of my younger brother's graduation day. If it will not retrieve, that is a big problem to me since that is my brothers memorabilia of his graduation and that is very important to him. Can the picture be retrieved from Linux application and be saved to MS windows? Actually before they changed the application to Windows they call me because they are saving back ups for my files. All of my files including the folders of pictures are placed on deskstop on Linux application, when they retrieved it there are no pictures. I am so sad and I am still wishing that the picture can be retrieved since that is very important to me. Please help me, ease my boredom.

Oh no, sayang! I had the same experience. I watched Disney on Ice in Bangkok with a friend and took lots and lots of photos. One day, my computer crash and not a single photo or document was recovered. I was speechless for many days.
Anyway, I hope your brother is not upset about it anymore.

Sad to know that you've lost all your files in linux system. I think you can send the picture in your email like Yahoo. you can attached them there while you're in your Linux OS then send it to Yahoo when you have transferred to Windows you just have to access your yahoo email and detach the file in your email.

But sadly, the one who replaced the application did not remember if he saved the pictures on his back-up files.

to know that you couldn’t retrieve your precious and memorable pictures, especially your brother’s.
I’m so sorry that I don’t have any knowledge couldn't help you to retrieve the folders of pictures from Linux to MS. Or you can try to seek help from the skillful and experienced technicians of any computer shop. May be they could help you to get your problem solved.

Yes you can, if you did not erase the Linux Operating System. If you are referring to one hard disk drive and you change it to Microsoft Windows from Linux then you let reformatted the hard disk disk drive and install the Microsoft Windows operating system, then that is a big problem. You can never retrieve the from a hard disk drive that has been reformatted, repartition and reinstalled.

But they retrieved some of my word docs and excel docs from Linux System, maybe they can retrieve also the folders of my pictures? the hard disk drive, is that the CPU?
Here it goes, before they changed the system to Windows, they told me they will have a back-up files which all of my word docs, folders of pics and excel placed. They already retrieved some of my it, and I'm praying they can also retrieve the folders of my pictures since it is in the same place as my word docs. They were all saved on desktop area of Linux system.
