Spring cleaning

i am set to do it this weekend. But no steaming thing to be done. just vaccuuming..

In my house, prior to moving to this apartment, I would shampoo the carpets twice a year. I will probably do that to the carpets here as well, though this carpet just doesn't seem to be getting as dirty as that in my old house. i think perhaps because it's a newer carpet and has the stain resistant material in it. I have never steam cleaned the floor, but then again, we don't have tile floors.

It's rare, if ever, that I feel the urge to spring clean. I clean each room periodically, but never really blast the whole house in one go. My cleaning is normally spurred on my an empty house and a nice day, neither of which I have just now. I've never used a steam cleaner in the home, though we used to steam clean the kitchen at work years and years ago. I too have tile floors though, so a steam cleaner would be really useful (particularly with these puppies about!).

I do my Spring cleaning when ever it is warm enough to open windows and doors and air the ole place out. I do steam clean some things and some every other year, not every year. I remember my grama's Spring cleaning as opposed to mine too. After the old burning stoves the walls needed to be washed down and curtains steamed. Her way of doing it was a bit different than our present day.

Spring cleaning? What's that? LOl I don't remember the last time I cleaned anything, let along spring cleaned it. hahahahahaha Just call my husband and I Mr. & Mrs. Slob. haha
