Teaching s a great job.My mother is also a teacher. Well it's true that teaching does not gives you loads of money but the reputation and respect that you get from students is quiet good one. Everyone respects teacher regardless they are good or bad. Teaching job is also quit satisfactory one as it leaves you with a of free time to do many other things. So in my view if you are quite satisfied with your current job then you should probably continue with teaching.

Ya my mother has been teaching for more that 10 years now. though she is not a professor but she has taken classes till 8th standard. She really enjoys this profession and took it because she didn't wanted to spend free time at home. I also benefited a lot from her because she helped me a lot through my studies. I am currently pursuing graduation. Thanks for the response. Happy mylotting

we have several friends that are teachers and i know that teaching is not an easy job because lots of kids have a terrible attitude to them, but i know that after they have been teaching for a long time, their income is fairly high. keep teaching if is something that you like to do.

If you're happy and earning a good living, then why change your job just because of what other people think? Where I live, public school teachers don't get paid very well, and usually live paycheck-to-paycheck, just like the rest of us. I do think it's a very rewarding job, though, for most people. College professors get paid more, or so I hear, though.

If you go into teaching with the idea of becoming rich, you are in the wrong profession. We are here for the students not for the dollar sign!

I do mean like that. I am realize that it is difficult to become a rish person by teaching. The problem that make worried is that the comment that i get or hear from the other about my profession as a teacher. Actually my earning is quite good from teaching. I just do not really like being looked down by the other just because i am a teacher.

Teaching is a noble profession. I am not a teacher but I love to teach something to my friends. In my college life I use to teach my friends. They are all very happy with my teaching. They always said that the way I make them understand something no one else could do so. I think money is important but being a teacher you should you should not always consider the money aspect. You can gain lots of respect from your students if you are a good teacher. Again you can also make good money from private tuition if you are a reputed teacher. best of luck with your carrier.

Actually, i am happy with what i am doing right now. By teaching, i can help to educate and help the other that are not really understanding his oe her lesson to be better. I just get distrubed by the other that saying bad about teaching. That i will not be rich by teaching. Teaching is a low level job. Huh ..... that is bother me. But....Well... thank you for responding me.

I think teaching is one of the best job I had seen. I think it is a very good job. Also you can earn great amount of money if you need money by taking tuition. There are lots of people who take teaching and teaching do help to earn good amount of money. Also it is great to teach people as it helps to provide knowledge to others.

Teaching is not an easy job and in most places, you get paid a very low fee for doing what you do. However, the general idea about teachers is that you get paid OK for getting entire summers off and being lazy. However, that's not true. It's a very high demanding job, you really have to work all summer and don't get paid for it. Teaching is something that you really have to enjoy to really make it work. The low pay, the amount of trouble you get each day, etc makes it a difficult job.

From what i am told by teachers my mom works with you dont make alot of money but you have benefits through work, a pension when you retire. Theres the extra holidays during the summer and fufillment of working with kids and enriching minds. If all you're after is money then no teaching isnt where you should be...if you want to work with kids, share knowledge, have a great vacation length... If its something that makes you happy then stay..if you hate teaching then dont teach you'll end up making the kids you teach hate school because you hate teaching.

If you want to be rich, then you can continue being a great teacher (I really like your profession, by the way), then at the same time invest in another business. Having multiple jobs is usually the way for middle class people to earn more :) I hope you wouldn't leave your profession especially if you feel like you're earning enough and if you're enjoying what you're doing :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!
