Do you run to pick up the phone soon after it starts ringing?

Do you run fast to pick up the telephone[to the extent of slipping and falling down as soon as it starts ringing?Or do you just walk fast?--
I do walk fast but I do not run.Nowadays the caller's identity is there on the callerID and so I don't get too disturbed if it stops ringing.I can easily call the person back if I miss it.
Do share your thoughts and experiences.

I do not run to pick my land line or mobile phone, when I am at a distance. I allow it to ring for sometime and then I move towads the phone, taking my own time and then only I pick it up. As you have rightly said, now a days, we are blessed with caller identity facility and we can immediately come to know if the call is from a known person or a stranger. I have seen some people running towards their phone, when it starts ringing and getting themselves injured in this process. I think we should take our own time to take the call.

Yes DEEPAK!My mother used to run fast once the phone started I would tell her to take it easy.Making a caller wait[for all we know that it may also be a wrong number]would be less of a calamity than broken limbs.Thank you for the response.I thought it was a very common question when I posted it but I also convinced myself that it would pertain to many people because we have different styles .

Yes, you are right, caller can wait for few minutes, before we take the call. If we make hurry, we may be in trouble and caller would say it was none of his/her faults.

Hi kala....Well I hurry towards the phone as soon as it starts ringing,especially when I am awaiting a call or am feeling bored....But when I am busy doing some work at home,I always curse the phone for ringing at the wrong time,and sometimes I check the caller Id and if it is unimportant,I just let it ring and attend to it later.

LOL..I don't run but am tempted to walk fast towards the ringing phone to answer it. It has become a habitual reflective action to act on impulse whenever the phone rings.

Hello kalav. I hurry to answer the phone when I hear it ringing. I don't want to miss it, but if I miss it and if it is one from one of my friends, I will call back to ask what is up. Take care.

Nope, I don't really used to in answering phone calls. Sometimes, if I'm not in the mood I'll just let the phone keep on ringing or I will just ask someone to answer the phone. 
But if i'm waiting for a phone call I will run when I heard it for the first ring. Well, it really depends on my mood actually.

I used to do that... And ended up slipping on floor... But now, I've learned to just walk fast or run carefully so as to refrain from having accidents.

I don't run to pick up the phone. Honestly I'm lazy answering the phone because of the many incidents that the person on the other line hang up. I do wait for the second or third ring before I pick up the phone. I just run when there's a call that I'm expecting or a really important call that the whole family is expecting.
