Being off the NET

I would stick to them like glue till it was finished I had to sign papers saying that the guy who was doing the hook up couldn't be held accountable if he messed up my computer. So I stayed there and watched and maybe it annoyed them some but oh well.. is my thought. You can just never be to careful.

That seems reasonable to me, but then again I'm an especially wary person. I wouldn't like to be offline for such a length of time, however. It seems excessive. To my way of thinking they shouldn't unhook your computer from the existing internet connection until the new one is ready to be tested. Being down for the entire install seems excessive.

Hello ersmommy. When I had my net connection installed, it was the same with me that I had to be present with him for his help. But once it was connected, I was wild with joy that I could enjoy surfing on the Internet. Enjoy your new provider of the net, friend.

I would be keeping an eye on the guy doing the work. He is not actually going to be there working in the house for 4-6 hours is he? That is insane.

First off I dont know what I would do without my computer/internet. I have to have access to it at least a good portion of the door or check my mail every hour or two. But in the meantime, if I were in your shoes, I would find a book to read if you like, or play some music while I clean my house, that way you wont be to bored.
