Do you like Summer Rain?

It is really a hot summer. The last thing I wanted to happen was to rain. But, the thought came true. Just this week it rained non-stop.
It started April 20, my cousins birthday. I was just stuck in my room, playing the PSP, because my sisters were using the net. After a few hours, I heard weird sounds, and I asked my sisters if they again left the faucet in the bathroom open. And they answered, it's just raining.
Then April 21, my birthday. I was suppose to buy food for dinner, a birthday treat. But, I can't even leave the house because it really was raining hard. I waited for like hours for the rain to stop. But, it didn't stop. So, I just rush my way to the mall.
It's been like 4 days already since it started raining. And, now I am sick due to temperature change. But it is alright. At least I get to rest before school starts again.
Hehehe. Do you like summer rains?

Hi. taki_takaishi. Yes, I do love the summer rain.
I just don't like it when it brings along bad colds and nasal sinuses though. I am so sorry that the rain ruined half of your Birthday. 
I hope that it gets better for you. I do love the summer rain but I don't like to play in it or be shut up in it when I have something that I have to do that is important.

I love the summer rain. It was raining here last night and my boyfriend and I just cuddled under a blanket and talked while it rained. It was wonderful. I love the smell of fresh rain.

We are having a summer rain right now. it got up to almost 90 degrees here where I live. Suddenly it is getting dark and you could hear thunder in the distance. Then almost at once it is lightening along with the thunder. Now it was really pouring down but you could see double rainbows in the distance as the rain was pouring down. it poured for about an hour and now it is just a drizzle. It always smells and looks so fresh and clean after a nice shower. Now I won't have to water any of my garden.

It is really cool to have summer rains. It always brings in some dip in the temperature. It cools the overall temperature and thus I love it.

I like the rain. Especially when it is raining. I have a fascination for the rainy days. I know summer is meant for snoozing but the rain makes me feel more relaxed.

Well, I Love the smell of rain. Personally I think the reason Rain in the Summer is so great is that especially when the weather has been extremely warm, the rain brings a calmness to the air. I guess I had never thought about Rain in the summer being good, but I do enjoy a summer rain from time to time as well.

Dear friend,
Too much of anything is worse. I do summer rain but if it too much I would feeling boring of it. But a small sizzling would be much better. May few days. A cold wind would also be much better during summers. I do love the winder rains and some heavy rains. But not every time.

If you don't like summer rain don't live in England then it is always raining here.If we did not go out we would never get educated and die of starvation.Or earn a living.It sounds torrential rain where you are.After it has been very hot for a long while it is refreshing to have rain to clear the air.That does not happen very often now something to do with climate change,it does not get cold,just very damp.It sounds like you are on school holidays rest up and make the most of it.xx

yes i like summer,not rainy season rains.
but there will be no rains here in our place at any time ,in rainy season also. because of oily place,here rains will be less. rains will be less and they will come once when season changing ,thats all. so when rains comes,i feel very happy and i think to dance in that less rain. if rain is too high,i can;t go outside and enjoy because i have sinus and i can;t stay more time in rain. as it affects my health.
in rainy season i take more hot snacks that to indian snacks. then i don;t feel cool weather.

Well my answer is Yes for it's really nice and soothing during the hot weather and No because you couldn't do things such as hanging out with your friends and outdoor sports. For me I think if it's just a light rain or drizzle then it's fine but if it's raining really hard then I get pissed of. I don't really like when it's raining hard and I'm at school and I have to attend a class in another building. I don't like being soaking wet from the rain. It seems like you took a shower with your clothes on and it feels uncomfortable.

First of all happy belated birthday to you and to answer your question, yes I love summer rain especially if the temperature is really hot I just want to rain all day. Honestly I'm not a summer loving person I would rather want to rain and have a cold weather than a hot humid weather.

I like summer rains because I wanted a cool weather. I hate hot temperature because a lot becomes irritated and hot-tempered. I myself belong to them. I tend to be irritated when the weather is hot. So when there is summer rain, I tend to be happier and calmer. My husband is so happy when he sleeps during daytime and the rain starts pouring. He always tell me that he loves rain more than summer. He just hates walking because of the wet road. The only effect of rain I hate is that we are having difficulty making our clothes dry after laundry. We do not have a spinner for our washing machine yet. We are still planning to replace it on June. I also hate it when the extreme weather temperature suddenly drops and brings bad effect to our health. So we should be careful when it rains during summer.

Oh yes I love it. Only yesterday I think I started some discussion on this very topic. We also got the much awaited rain finally after a scorching period of almost 2 months. And the good point is it is raining everyday night since that day onwards. It is kind of funny everyday it starts raining exactly at 9 pm and continues for 1 - 1 and a half hours since the past four days. I am very happy the nights have become so cool that I can sleep even without the fan(I do not have A/C like most people in Bangalore). First day was really nice I enjoyed a lot ......... went to the roof and got fully drenched in the rain. I thank the lord for bestowing his cool blessings on us and giving us relief from the heat.

I would really love to have a heavy rain in a hot summer,especially after going through a continuous oppressive weather.And i tend to fall asleep quickly at night and have a good sleep when it rains hard outside.

first off - BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
rain during summer is good once in a while... rained everyday also here, and jsut like you i got sick.
it was forecasted that there is an el nino here that will last till next year, so raining is good here since the dams will be filled with water again, and rivers will not get dry. it's just crappy that when it rains in the city, expect floods on the roads. we;re just lucky there's no flood here when it rains

I love it when it rains during summer because rain during those times help make the weather seem cooler. Rains are a godsend for the tropical countries, especially during the summer months. It helps lower the temperature down a bit. Anyway, summer rains just happen once in a while. :)
