Pelosi opposed Ethics Probe

Nancy Pelosi once promised she would "drain the swamp of Washington" and swiftly put and end to the "culture of corruption."
Republican Congressman Jeff Flake is sponsoring a bill that would launch an ethics probe into suspicious ties between key Democrats, most notably John Murtha and the PMA Group — a lobbying group.Mr. Murtha and others secured enormous earmarks for PMA, and then received similarly enormous campaign contributions from the group.
Can you say pay for play everyone?
Well Pelosi is not only NOT supporting this ehtics probe but she is preasuring the other members of congress NOT to support it either.
I do think that unethical things have been going on in congress. By both sides. Especially when it comes to lobbyist. A lot of companies that got bail out money (or rather got a lobbyist to get it for them) turned around and put millions of dollars of that bail out money into congressmen and congresswomens campaign accounts.
I think they should all have ethics probes. We should know who the crooks are and they should be kicked out. Why isn't pelosi supporting it? Well she does not want any dems to loose their seats. But she sure wants to go after any republicans that are corrupt. Pelosi wants to expose republicans every chance she gets....while ignoring the corruption going on in her party.
What do you make of this? Should their be an ethics probe? Should the conduct of all members of congress be probe reguardless of party?

Yep. She is covering for it. YOu know she is. why? Because it would start a snowball effect. So many on each side are in the pockets of lobbyist. The last thing they want is hard proof of it getting. It would cause the house of cards to come crashing down.
But an ethics probe is exactly what is needed......on ALL of them.

Hi lilwonders...Of course there should be an ethics probe. And it should not be one sided that only one party is under investigation. Anyone who is engaging in illegal behavior should be punished for such behavior.

ya but sence they are allowed to decide if the proble goes on....well what do you think is giong to happen? Of course they are going to stop it. I think an independent source needs to decide, not congress.

She never meant those words when she said them. She just said whatever it took to get elected and then get speaker of the house.
She is the poster child for a bad corrupt politican.

There are only 10 people overseeing 500 companies that received money. How could 10 PEOPLE ever keep up with even one fouth of that number especially if they were determined to be corrupt. They have uncovered corruption already even though they are over worked. And they have asked for help in looking into the mess and have been told to "Handle It"!
I think Congress should immediately STOP doling out money. They have already given out more money this year than they were supposed to. This money was supposed to be given out in increments over a many year span, but they are so eager to Nationalize every business and Bank in America that they are just dumping it on everyone. No one can even say NO if they do not want it.
They even gave money to Federal Credit Unions which is a Federal Offense Guys. I just looked it up Yesterday!!! The little Credit Unions are furious!!!!!!!!!!
PELOSI SHOULD BE IN JAIL!!!!!!!!
I REALLY HOPE THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS READING THE STUFF WRITTEN ON THE LOT. THEN THEY WOULD KNOW, THAT ALMOST 100,000 FOLKS ARE TICKED OFF. That is giving a margin of folks who may like Obama and for those who do not live in THIS GREAT COUNTRY!!!!!
