The earth continue to exist since time immemorial and continue to sustain and nurture life on it. Will it continue for ever? There is a philosophy saying that " The world exists only in the sphere of ignorance. The world is not real. It is as virtual as a dream." Do you agree?

Hi narayan, While it is true that the earth has been around for billions of years, and it is thought that it will continue for billions more, like all planets it will eventually die. When many people speak of the world, they mean civilization as we know it and mankind already has the ability to destroy that at any time. The earth was here billions of years before mankind appeared and the planet itself will likely continue despite the best efforts of man to eradicate it. Blessings.

I'll take science on this discussion, the earth is not concerned with life on it's surface or not, as a planet it is going through the life of a planet and will cycle as that. Humans are entirely incidental to this or any other planet.

Thanks for scientifically responding and sharing your view points. Every natural entity including the earth is finite and passes through the natural cycle of evolution. The forms of life and the conditions of the surrounding environment changes in nature and character in response to different phases of evolution of the parent body. The whole of universe moves in a cosmic cycle of evolution that is reflected in changing forms of life that suits the specific conditions of the evolutionary phase.Thanks.

No. Everything physical is finite, all stuff on earth is finite...it'll all end someday. It's the unphysical, nonmaterial that has the ability to be eternal. That phrase has the potential to be true, but practically speaking there's no evidence to suggest that what I just said is wrong, xD

Thanks for philosophically responding and sharing your view points.Every thing physical is finite and perishable and, can be experienced by our senses. The existence and eternity of the non-physical aspects of life that forms the basis for all material things can not be evidenced through sensory experiences because senses, body and mind are limited to relative material life. However, this eternal essence of life can be experienced only when one's conscious mind transcends to higher level of cosmic consciousness when all feelings of duality vanishes and mind reaches its non-material original source.Thanks.

This world is temporary as this will end soon. Nothing is permanent in this present lifetime. However i don't agree such philosophy that " the world only exist in the sphere of ignorance and it is as virtual as a dream. It's such a nonsensical philosophy. The world is real but this is not permanent and eternal.
