Have you ever gone to a Job fair

I went to a job fair today, this is the first time I have ever gone to one. I was not really impressed, because it was a lot of booths promoting training schools. There were mostly sales jobs, and there was a FBI booth, and recruiting for the military. I didn't have much luck there.
Have you ever gone to a Job fair, and were you successful in getting a job?

I have went to job fairs at Florida State University. It actually had a wide variety of job booths. There were not any boothes at this fair for training schools. Alot of the employers were from somewhere far away, though, that I was not interested in living!

i have attended a few job fairs when i was a newly grad... it was rather tough for me t have interviews done in such a crowded place.. it was expensive to print quite a few copies as well. so there. i got hired from a job hunter not from the job fairs though, hehe

hello sudalunts:-) yes i always attend job fairs because i accompany my wife whose company frequently participate in this kind of event. i love going to job fairs because you get to see lots of new stuff. some companies also give some freebies.

I've been to job fair during my jobless phase before. The result wasn't fantastic. But it is a good place to go especially if you need to find a job fast. However, don't hope much as most booth offer jobs for marketing and sales department. Only some offer professional posts and that's rare. Lots of post available for production in factory too.

I haven't been a job fair before, but I see in many reports that the situation there is not poitive, many graduates cannot find their job and on the other hand many businesses cannot seek out talents they want.. contradictory? In fact many student chose hot subjects to learn years before and now they're redundant in the job market.

I have gone to a job fair before, but not very succeed, just like you said, most of the job is sale, I was just finished school when I gone to a job fair, and almost all the job need the work experience, so just two company give me an opportunity for a interview, but not succeed, so I got a job from the internet.
