Would you deposit all of your money in a bank account or multi - bank account?

I only have one bank account. My husband chooses not to have one. He uses mine when he needs me to send money and stuff. I never had a bank account till about 4 years ago and I haven't had any trouble with it till recently it closed due to inactivity which means I will have to go to the bank to reopen it or another one. A hassle for sure but we don't have alot of money that we put in the account and it isn't used often. Only use it with paypal and to recieve my earnings from sites that pay me like mylot.

I put my money into two bank accounts. Part of one goes to our joint bank account, part of one goes to pay my cell phone and my annual magazines and part of that is transferred into my high interest savings account. With the other bank account, I pay for the groceries, and part of the bills and anything I put on my credit cards. The rest goes into my high interest savings account where I cannot touch it so easily, is for the six month emergency, and is for saving for something big so I do not have to pay the credit card interest when I decide to get it.

I put all my savings into one account now, but used to have two. I use a different bank for checking, though. Like you, I don't know why, I just feel better about it that way. Not that I have a lot of money to fuss over!

I use different banks to save fro different things. One is to pay my bills and another is to pay my daily living expenses. The third is for emergency, that one is harder to get the money out of so I am not likely to use it for any ol thing.

I don't have enough money to worry about putting it into more then one back account. I have always just used one.
