Hello friends...Just think about this,do we need to eat our food by killing some other living creature..?There are so many other vegetarian foods which are tasty and also provide better proteins and carbohydrates than non-vegetarian food.Early man used to hunt animals and prepared his food because in those days people doesn't know the vegetarian food that was available in the his surroundings. But today, we are like sophisticated early man...Already some extinct animals are preserved in sanctuaries.. I heard that human flesh is the tastiest in the world.I guess there shall be one day, where human kill each other for food.I think we need a ban on cooking non-vegetarian food.So that animals will not get extinct... So mylotters do you support on a ban of non-vegetarian food?? Why ??Why not?? Please share with us..

Plants,Insects, Animals, and Humans share this world, and live in it together. Plants, Insects, Animals, and Humans are all God's creatures and all are alive and possess a Spiritual Force. Each creature is part of the food chain. This is the way it has been since Our universe was created. Humans live at the top of the chain and can pick and choose their nourishment from any of the lower creatures in the food Chain. Vegetarians need to realize that Plants are living creatures, with feelings, consciousness, and limited intelligence, as are animals. Ask anyone who has cut a large living tree, and they will assure you that the tree screams as it is severed from it's root. A grapevine tendril will grow under an electric fence without touching a wire, because it senses the harmful electric current. I could go on and on, but suffice to say, Plants deserve Respect and Conservation measures just as do Animals. Humans, as the Highest Animal on the food chain, should respect all Living creatures equally whether they be Plants, Insects, Fish, Birds, and or Animals.

Thanks for your endorsement of my response. I was a little confused when you told about your Dad, Hunting and fishing (killing) and eating what he catches. Then you suggested it would be better to go to the Grocery store to buy the meat you needed. Why would it be better to allow someone else (whom you didn't know) to do the (dirty work)killing?

I am a non-veg to the coreā€¦in fact fish is a staple dish for us so I wont support any ban on non-veg food. I remember once visiting an area while on vacation and the entire area was strictly vegetarian, keeping in mind the dietary choice of the majority of the local people. Initially it was nice as I got to eat a lot of different vegetarian food but I was almost in tears by the 3rd or 4th day, I was craving so much for my meat, fish and eggs. What you say might be true and both the veggie and non-veg camps have their own argument but for me, I love my non-veg food

Yeah!! one cannot change his/her habits suddenly. Its very hard to go for veg,for a person who is used to non-veg for years.Even I cannot go for non-veg suddenly. But regular consumption of meat will make our brains rusty...So people have to limit them self's in eating meat..

Eating meat won't make our brains "rusty". It does quite the opposite! DHA is found in fish and other animal products which contributes to normal brain development in children. Also, our brains REQUIRE protein to function properly. Animal flesh and eggs are an excellent source of protein.

Hi Dsharat! Interesting discussion from your own point of view. But I believe that most of the people in the world will not agree with your point of view. I don't agree with you agree. As per beliefs of most religions of the eating flesh of animals that are allowed by God Almighty to be eaten is fairly legitimate though you still may have the liberty of eating more vegetables than meat. But suggesting all the people in the world to become vegetarians, in my opinion, is against the call of nature. Think of other people who also like to eat fless of wild animals and other seafood which is forbidden by most religions. So in my opinion, most people in the world will not agree to your suggestion.

Early man hunted meat because humans are meat eaters, it's as simple as that. Some choose not to eat meat and I have no problem with their personal choice but I, too, have my own personal choices and one of them is to eat most meat. I will not eat lamb or calves and I will not kill an animal myself, except in self defense, but I will eat what I like without feeling guilty. Have you considered the fact that if most of the animals that are now consumed as food were set free, they would destroy most of the vegetation you depend on? Many of them would also die from starvation and disease.

Can't say that I agree with you on that one. I love my meat and if there was a ban on non-vegetarian food I would lose it and be put in jail. who are we to ban this or that isn't that what all of us are fighting for our freedom to chose this over that. If non-vegetarian foods get banned we're losing our rights. And no I couldn't kill another human being to provide food for myself. Are you kidding me? I would rather die of starvation than take someone eles life for food. Yes some vegetarian foods are tasty and I'm not saying you can't live off of them but why should you have to? I love meat and I will continue to munch down on my steak, hotdogs, chicken, and anything else I please.

First and foremost our Ecosystem gets affected. If we don't consume meat, the meat producing animals will grow in large number and affect our ecosystem. This will become a very big issue later. Its better to stick to certain non-vegetarian foods only. Don't just eat whatever you see. Only few animal`s meat are meant to be eaten and not all. Nowadays people wanna try out all the thing that swims except Ship and all the thing that flies except Aeroplane. So i totally disagree to point of imposing a ban on non vegetarian foods. If i don't have non veg for 2 days continuously, i feel weakened and disordered. I hope every non veggie feels like that. Its like an addiction it cannot be given up under any circumstances.

I don't push meat on you, you can't push vegetarian food on me. If you want to be natural you can't get the protein and iron from vegetarian food with out adding nutrients. If you are adding something do you really believe it is good for you. Besides if we eat all vegetables are you going to tell me the plants will someday be extinct too because we ate them all? I'm worried the plants will be extinct if we start eating all vegetarian foods. Man knew that there were other foods to survive off of he chose to eat meat as most people do today. Don't you think salads were eaten back then. They knew what to make out of flour.
