Fairy Tales -- Legendary narratives with the once upon a time openings and happy endings. The history of fairy tales difficult to trace though, fairy tales have existed for thousands of years. There was a time when the books which we consider to be fantasy were also a part of tales. Tales of heroes, kingdoms princesses, gaints, ogres, dragons, trolls wicked stepmothers, fairies, beauties, talking animals and so on. I love reading these stories when I was a child and even today after I have crossed the 30 years marks, still I would read a beauty and beast and a cinderella. What about you? Have you stopped reading fantasy and fairy tales and prefer the so called novels for adults or do you read them sometimes.

I just love Fairy tales and love to read them even today at this age.But it is a hard thing to do with the other priorities of a responsible earning member. So I relax with a movie based on a fairly tale at times with my daughter.Especially the Walt Disney movies. They are just the best.

Of I do read fairy tales, got a lot of books, I even have a fairy tale book dated 1857, compared it on today's contemporary fairy tales, there is a lot of edited difference... Well in fairy tales, the things happening there are actually happens in reality, but... It's more tragic and no trappings... to make it into fairy moment...

It has Beauty andthe Beast, Rapunzel as well as Toads and Diamonds illustrated by Gordon Laite who is one of my 2 favorite artists. And I never could get enough of Sleeping Beauty, especially the artwork by Eyvind Earle :) Soyes, I do very much still engross myself in fairy tales. Couldn't live without it. Yup, I still enjoy reading them, not only those from Grimms and Hans Andersen; but also Greek and Chinese myths and stories. They are all very fascinating and it's nice to lose myself in these fantasies of flying dragons and wishes that could come true with just a wave of the magic wand!

YES I still do. And I usually go for movies with happy endings. My strong belief is, life has enough pain and reality, a movie/ book should take you away from it and refresh you :)

Reading Fairy tales is quite interesting and there is nothing wrong with reading them even yet today. There are many movies that they make and TV shows and such these days even based on them. It helps to draw and improve your imagination more, and gives you more ideas on what to do from there. It is such a magical time and world you can escape in.

I love fairy tales. Recently I've been really engrossed in serious and somewhat dark novels, but evertyonce in a while I like to read a fairy tale, even in a children's book.

It's very easy to advise a person not to believe in fairy tales, which has not originally happened. Even I have done that. But if I happened to see a book of Fairy tales, I will definitely read it completely, but secretly. Hahhaha. Because, the fantasy that we can enjoy from fairy tales is somewhat unique. Children, youngsters and old people are enjoying equal fantasy while reading a Fairy Tale. If I lack time, I used to read only the happy ending of the tale and I would feel a great satisfaction as if the whole thing has just happened in my own life. Haahah. But there are some people who gradually lose their interest in reading fairy tales as they grow up. But I am of above mentioned character.

Oh my word yes, I love reading fairy tales still. However, these days I've been reading fairy tales, and then researching back to as close as can be found to the original tales...where the endings weren't always so happily ever after. it's fascinating, and delightful at the same time.

Oh I love reading books. And also Fairy tales, it just brings out the child in me. I really love how these stories have a happy ending and always bring out the fantasy and imagination in me. Whenever I read these kind of books, it just makes me want to draw them and make a story, for myself, but I guess it is not easy hehehe. We shouldn't stop reading these books, it is fun and inspirational too.
