It's been a few weeks since you posted this, and I see a number of differing replies. It's hard for me to despise anyone, no matter what popular fad they are into these days. Whether I agree with their opinion or not, at worst I feel a mild irritation for the following reasons: 1) The books were not particuarly well written or engaging. 2) The main 'heroine' was simply pathetic, and set back women's lib by about 20 years. 3) Romanticizing vampires has been done.
