What items are you fond of collecting?

Do you like to collect stuffs or anything that you are fond of? Like figurines, collectible items of a cartoon character or an action hero/villain? If so, what do you collect? and would you really spend money on such things??? ME??? I am a pooh addict and I love collecting anything that has pooh on it. From stickers to almost anything. Though I don't limit myself to pooh characters only. I also do collect anything that I tend to like. Most of the things I like though are all given by friends and my partner. I also tend to buy pooh stuffs only for me to give it to my partner coz I want 'it' to remind him of me whenever he sees it. As to money, I don't spend much on what I like but rather I spend more to what I want to give to my partner like even giving him a piglet collectors item plastic figurine, you know the one's you see at stores that costs much for just an item, it's I think almost 6-8 inches.

Hi, I do collect stuff and Is till have a little collection of things like stationery and stickers from my elementary years . Then I collected figurines of pigs because I was born on the year of the pig, then I gave some of it away but there are still a few adorning my shelf. Then I collect key holders from different places and ref magnets from different countries which I got through friends and swappers. My latest collection would be postcards of different countries through swaps and penfriends, and stamps and coins trough swaps and penfreinds too. Then items with piglet the friend of pooh .Though I don't buy them cause it's not within my budget LOL but I get some during my birthdays and christmas. Happy collecting and mylotting.

I collect items. The most favorite item I want to collect were books and stuff toys. I like books so much. I can be whatever I want to be in reading books. My imagination is really widened because of it. Usually I collect what I read so that in time that my daughter is already big I can share with her the books that I have read. I also love stuff toys because I arrange it and show it off to my baby. :)

I love books so much when I was still young but when I entered college that was when I had to limit the books that I read to inches thick of nursing related books. A lot of memorizing was to be done so I only had little time to read other kinds of literature... now, I have started to read other books again. One of them is The Road Less Travelled. Its a good book, did learned a lot from it.=)

oh,you just reminded me. i also kept some of my drawings & sketches that I drew since high school up to now. I threw some of them and I kind of regretted doing so coz some of the drawings were nice (i guess, lol) &its really fun going through old stuufs again every once in a while coz it brings back old memories you had when you were still younger. =)

When i was younger i used to collect porcelain dolls and i must have about 30 of them. Every christmas and birthday i would receive at least 2 of these and this went on for about 6 years. Now that i am older i do not collect anything as such but seem to have a really large collection of books, shoes, handbags. I did not set out with the intention of collecting these but it just sort of happened. When it comes to shoes i must have at leat 100 pairs and the thing is i have about 10 pairs of nearly identical flat black work shoes. Most of my shoes come under the following colours-black or pink so i do not really need all these. As for handbags most of these are different and i rotate them so i do not mind haveing loads of these. I have about 100+ books that i have not even read yet so i have set my self the task of reading at least 10 before i am allowed to get any more and i might try and get rid of some of the ones i have read or am unlikely to read as i do not have the space for all of these.

You remind me of Imelda Marcos who has lots & lots of shoes. I have lots of shoes before given by my mother but since most of them gives me blisters even if it costs much I sold them and now keep the ones which I feel comfortable. If you happen to sell some of your books again pls do tell me. If you also like to sell it so that I could buy one from you. =)

Yes i do collect things. I'm very fond of collecting various things. When I was a kid, I used to collect bus tickets. I really collected too many( nearly for 7 years) that my mom started scolding me for making my cupboard dirty. One day she threw all in the dustbin. I was very disappointed and angry. From then i stopped collecting tickets. Later i used to collect rare leaves and store it inside old books. Still i have that habit. But nowadays there's no time for all this and so it is just a hobby.

Here it is - Winnie was a real bear. Her mother was killed by a hunter and she was bought for $20 by Canadian Lieutenant, Harry Colebourn while in training at White River, Ontario, Canada, while he was en-route to England during the First World War. Colebourn named the bear "Winnie" after his hometown in Winnipeg, Manitoba. "Winnie" was smuggled into England by her owner. At that point, she gained theunofficial recognition as The Fort Garry Horse regimental mascot (they were a group of vetrenarians. Colebourne left Winnie at the London Zoo while he and his unit were in France; after the war she was officially donated to the zoo. Winnie was a much loved bear and a very friendly one as humans were the only handlers she knew. She was a huge attraction at the London Zoo. Enter A.A. Milne, a Londoner who took son, Christopher Robin to see Winnie at the zoo and told Christopher Robin tales about Winnie and other toys that Christopher Robin had. There you have it, know you know 'the rest of the story'.

I love to collect costume dolls from around the world. I have collected lots of them over the last twenty years on my worldwide travels. I keep them on a shelf below my my travel photo albums. I have brought home so foreign currency which I keep in an album. I have three albums full of postcards from different places in the world. I collect miniature houses and like thatched cottages most of all. I have built up a colorful collection of crystals and semi precious gem stones.

I really don't collect movies now but since it is more convenient and cheap to buy movies then maybe that's why I have lots of dvd movies now. I did made a habit, a very brief habit though, before of collecting original cd's or dvd's of my favorite movies.

I like collecting coins. It's something that my grandfather started me on and it turns out that some of the older people in my family enjoyed doing it as well (my great uncle gave me half of his collection because he wanted to pass it on to someone who would appreciate it and no one else in the family collects them). I also collect family things, as it turns out. Any old family heirlooms, scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, family trees, drawings, paintings, etc, I have in my apartment someplace. No one else in the family really takes care of them (maybe it's a generation thing?) or wants them, but I think it's fascinating to look back and be able to see what my family was like and such.
