It s the speed that matters, I often visit the cyber cafe and do surfing over there but I find the speed too low as compared to my own compouter at 2mbps an electifying speed of the net, what do you do?

I would still prefer to surf the net inside the comfort of my own home. No matter the speeds. If I have slow internet speeds at home and would be needing to upload or download huge files then I guess that's the only time that Im going to go to an internet cafe to finish my work. Still Id love for it if I could do it inside the house. My internet connection right not might not be super fast but I can manage with it. I can download and upload things at a reasonable amount of time and best of all I can do my work here inside the house.^_^

yep, it definitely does. One would just rather watch tv or dvd instead of patiently waiting for slow speeds.

I would always surf the net in my home. Even if the net connections goes down, I would wait until its up rather than going to internet cafe. The reason being that, I can't do anything useful at the cyber cafes, as all my bookmarks are on my pc. And even if I knew the website names, I don't know many of the passwords for them, as I save the passwords in my browser. So I would always prefer to surf the net in my home.

Yep, its not bookmarking alone, its also about being able to use them. Although I am slowly shifting to online bookmarking, its safe, can be easily exported.

I prefer to surf on my own PC. Aside from having quiet atmosphere, my files are all in it. I'm also a bit skeptical when other people use my things so, just the same, I find it hard to use the PC in cyber cafes - knowing that different people use it. Just like you, I also like the speed of my own PC. :D

Nahhh... I don't go out to internet cafes ever since we got an internet connection at home. At 100.0 mbps, I prefer to surf the net at home rather than go to the cyber cafe and wait for soooo long just to surf the net...

Yes there isn't any need to go to internet cafes when we can surf at the comfort of our homes. BTW do you really have 100 MB per second internet connection. I think you're telling the LAN speed. You can check your internet speed at http://speedtest.net

I prefer to use my own computer and mobile phone for surf the web. I have wireless broadband access so i can surfing anytime and anywhere. I don't think an internet cafe is worth now since i found that there's many virus and trojan in their computer. My reason is security purpose. I don't think that an internet cafe is a safe place to surf. Sometimes i found there's keylogger installed on their computer. Nowadays people concern with privacy. Using public computer has high of privacy stolen risk. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I prefer to log on at home on my personal computer. even though i have low speed I much prefer the convenance and privicy at home than a public place. I have used net cafes only when I am out of town.

i prefer to do my surfing at home itself.there is lot more privacy in our home than cafes.and also if we have a 2 mbps connection then what's the need of a cafe.even if i am away from the home i don't go to cafe for surfing i have net on my mobile phone.if it is for taking for some printouts something like that i rely on cafes.

It depends on the nature of application and the work that I do on the internet. The place where I stay doesn't provide me a broadband connection and hence I am forced to compromise with the dial-up speed. You know the dial-up speed hardly offers a speed of about 35kbps and hence I find it difficult to complete my tasks. When there are messages that contain images and video files to be sent, I go over to the internet cafes for a better speed. I am shortly expecting a high speed internet service from government agency, which would compensate the shortcomings. One important aspect which I feel should be taken into account is when we do credit card and other financial transactions, it's always better to do them indoors so you have the safety of not getting exposed in the network of cybercafes. The cozy home atmosphere gives you several benefits and it would be ideal to travel the cyberhighway indoors if we have high speed internet access.

I would prefer to surf internet at on my desktop. Because the connection is much faster than the connection at cyber cafe. And it's much safer for me to surf without any computer problem.
