Where are you finding joy in life? Are you able to overlook the news of the day and still enjoy your family and nature? Can you spend an hour each day just bathing in the joy of being alive without worry. Tell us how you are doing this, by sharing you will help us all.

Hi, Pat! There's no logic to it at all, since I have a lot of health problems, financial problems, and my husband's in prison for something he didn't do (the guy who did confessed, but it's a LOOOOONG process to get a release). Still, I'm very happy. There are so many people and places and things in life that I love, I couldn't possible be very down. I'll be even happier after June 29, when I have my next in the series of surgical procedures on my jaw so maybe I can be rid of the pain!

Meditation is good, it takes you away from being so self absorbed. When we are full of negative energy it's very difficult to break the cycle. Keep up your good work, surprising things will happen, just be prepared to notice.

The secret of happiness is so very simple that you can hardly believe it. All I need to do is to live my life by God's laws. That simply means that I do what God wants me to do and I will have an abundant joy and happiness in my earthly existence. On the other hand if I break God's law I will be unhappy. This is so easily proved. All of us have done something wrong at one time or another. I ask you, were you ever happy after doing something wrong - even though you may have benefitted from it in some material way? And another way that can bring me true joy and happiness into my life is by helping others. There is no question but a real sense of true happiness whenever I have done something for another without any thought of return. A simple thing like sending a gift to someone, no matter how simple, even a plant cutting, I will be happy in the thought of the joy it would give the receiver.

I am enjoying and appreciating life a lot more now that I have time to do some of the things that I love, I lost my job back in December and it is a bad situation that I am trying to make into a good and positive one. I do things now that I couldn't do when I was working, my hours were always from 3:00 evenings until 11:00 pm at night. Now I can work in my yard, and visit with friends and family during the evening hours. I am really just taking it one day at a time. And hoping that it will continue to not be a problem (JOBLESSNESS)

I live in a congested city. Life is here very boring. I get some relief when I go to the nearby park.Every morning I go to that park to walk. The garden is full of flowers. There are many big trees also. There I here the singing of birds and smell the fragrant of flowers. My heart and mind become overwhelmed with joy.

I hate that phrase I'm bored, how can any thinking being be bored. If you live in a large city there is always so much going on, please look around you and see where you can help, or just record, by photos or other ways the life you can see on your street, or even just in your house. God gave you this wonderful brain, put it to use or you may loose it. Blessings

I really appreciate you started this discussion. I'm in a depressed mood for several months. Just because I couldn't find a satisfying job. And now, I think I become more happier cause so many people's remarks on this discussion. I'm encouraged. I have a harmonious family and a beautiful wife I love very much. Why not be happy and enjoy life? Thank all people here!

Hi Savypat, I have had a tough week this week but have remained optomistic that good will come from the bad situations so yes I guess I still hold joy in my heart and I prayer daily for others to find that too. I find joy in the most simple of situations, earlier today I went to a local park and there was an old oak tree hundreds of years old and my son run up to say hello which made me smile and there was a mummy duck on the lake with 12 ducklings in tow, wow, that gave me joy in my heart. God's created beauty if we choose to see it eh! Huggles. Ellie :D

I find so much joy in just sitting on my porch and watching my children play, heating the excitement and joy in their laughter. Seeing new things in their eyes, and getting to experience things I have seen and done through them as well. When they see the beach for the first time, when they see the mountains, playing in streams, just experiencing life. To see that in their eyes is one of the most awesome experiences I have ever had.
