I'm interested in knowing how some of you solved your credit card debt problems? Are you still in debt?

By not buying anything that I couldn't afford to pay for by the time the credit card bill was due for payment. Buying at the right time to give the longest time between purchase and payment. Sometimes it meant doing without stuff or having to choose what was most important but, if I couldn't afford it then, I knew I couldn't afford to pay interest charges on top as well.

"...if I couldn't afford it then, I knew I couldn't afford to pay interest charges on top as well." I LIKE THAT! Thank you for such wonderful words of wisdom. ME- I'm working my way around or should I say out of my debt. Slowly but surely - I haven't defaulted, but definitely looking forward to that day when its all at zero credit card debt.

I was able to solved my problem with my credit card debt. I started to leave my credit card at home for me to avoid using it. I prepared a budget plan and listed down my needs not my wants. After that I called the my credit card company and ask for help. They offered me a good scheme of payment. I'm now paying it on a monthly basis. It helps me to pay easier and avoid big interest.

I got into a lot of trouble with credit cards and debt. I'm slowly working my way out of it. I called my credit card companies and I set up a payment plan with them. My credit score is down but at least with everything getting paid off it will start to raise it. You just need to try to make the minimum payments at least and just try to dig your way out. Good luck!

You have to look at credit cards in the same way that you look at cash...don't overspend just because you can. My husband and I normally pay off our credit card bills every month because we don't like giving them extra money in the form of interest. Sometimes we do carry a balance...at Christmas for instance...but we usually have it paid back down within a few months.

So far, I never in debt of credit card. I use credit card just it's very convenient. I needn't prepare more cash when I go out and using credit card can extend the turnover rate. Certainly, credit card company will give me some gifts which based on my spending.
