Y'all might remember I did a discussion about placing third in the Present Accentuate short story contest, well, a few days later I found out I placed third in the Future short story contest also! I can't believe I will actually have two stories in the anthology when it comes out later this year! It's so exciting! I have a story in for the Reality theme, so wish me luck!

Thank you so much. I have alot of fun with my fiction writing. The article writing isn't as much fun, but it pays better, so I have to do both at the moment. Now, if I can get that novel done and it does sell, it might be a different matter...lol.

Congratulations, that proves that you are a good writer. Keep up the good work. You seem to have a great future in writing. You have my blessings for the Reality theme. I tried writing but I can't get the hang of it. I have even tried writing some of the task that ask for 4 paragraphs so far I yet to have one approved. I am just going to give up on writing.

Don't give up! Join us on the Accentuate Writers Forum and we'll help you! There are writers of all kinds there from beginners to pros. Everyone is welcomed and treated with respect. We help each other along the way, encourage each other, and just have fun. I've never tried any of the tasks here. Never any available when I think to check.

That is great news. You should try getting published in one of the literary journals as well. That would be a good stepping stone toward getting some attention from publishers. They like to see publication in a variety of media. It will help sell your fiction book when you get to the point that you are ready to submit your works for consideration. You are making great progress. Now you just need to stretch yourself to the next level, and soon you will be on your way to best-sellerdom. Congrats on your victory!

I have some things out for publication consideration at different places. I'm always sending one thing or another to a contest, publication, or whatnot...trying my hand. Thanks for the congrats!

Thank you! I am still excited and can't really believe my stories actually made it. People kept telling me they liked them, but I never won anything. It was a greta confidence booster.

LOL, thanks. It could be another six months before one of my stories wins again though. I sometimes have a problem making my stories match up the way they want with the themes.
