Mexican Violence and Gun Control

I don't like the fact that the Democrats are trying to use the current drug-related violence in Mexico to curb our gun rights. It is a downright lie that the guns the gangsters use mostly come from the US. Also, even the ones that do are mostly gotten in this country illegally. The kinds of guns they use - fully automatic weapons and grenade launchers - are impossible or almost impossible to get in this country legally. The semi-automatic guns the government wants to ban would not even be appealing to the Mexican gun cartels who are used to using fully automatic weapons.
