I went out for a little while today, and when I got back home I found that my kitten had been up to no good. I had 2 bananas on the counter, well one of them was missing. I went looking for it and found she had dragged or carried it into the bathroom . I can't imagine how she got it that far, and why she picked the bathroom. She really beat that banana up trying to open it . Has one of your cats or kittens done something surprising or funny like this? Here is a picture of my little banana thief Lucy.

I once had an intelligent Collie cow-dog. Farm dogs are never confined, as they are watch dogs as well as cattle dogs. This dog had the run of the farm, and surrounding countryside. One morning as I was leaving the house I met the dog coming up the drive with a roast of beef still frozen on a China Platter. He gently set the frozen meat down, looked up at me and wagged his tail, as if he was presenting me with this gift. We immediately began to investigate, and soon learned that our neighbor, about 1/4 mile away, left the roast thawing on a table in her summer kitchen. The dog must have entered through the open door and found a prize he could not resist.

Oh my God he was a smart dog! I bet he thought you would cook it and share half with him I can just imagine the look on your neighbors face when she found out that the dog took her roast.

hehe when i read that i wondered to myself why your cat would steal a banana. Haha I haven't heard of any cats untill now that were banana thiefs. My cat has a strange habit of retrieving balls. We throw them out onto the lawn and every morning we find them sitting on the mat of the front door. I've seen him sometimes grab the balls, he wedges them so far into his mouth he has to use his paw to get them out. Cute right? Haha cats are funny things it's great they're there to always give us a laugh.

i have a calico that steals those "strawberry" candies every chance she gets. you would think cats wouldn't like the smell of those. a previous cat used to chew on banana skins,i think that was the only part he liked about them LOL

Toto, one of my cats, is very strange. He seems to think he has the right to go any where he pleases. I have had so many phone calls from people asking me if he is lost cause he's been lounging around their house all day. He has also become famous at the local primary school. Every break time he wonders around the play ground followed by a line of kids, and when I go to pick my kids up at the end of the day he walks home with us, lol.

I've had many a cat go after bread, but bananas have always been safe (shhh, don't tell them!) I did used to have a cat who liked cantalope, tomatos and brocolli....

I took a bus trip to visit my sister in North Dakota. I was so tired when I got there I just dropped my bags and stuff in the guest room. I had some snacks, Zingers, in one carry-on bag. The next morning all of the Zingers were missing. I found each one tucked under my suitcase on the floor. If I left the door open they would come search for anything small and hide it someplace in my stuff.

Awww. How cute. Has to be pretty strong too, as bananas (compared to a cat) are quite heavy and big! Thanks for sharing that with us. I think it's a bit late for me to rethink of my cats' kitten days (been a while), but I remember my dog (from my childhood) was very good at snitching things for fun (or to rip up)! We'll have to install that hidden camera again, ha ha, now all over the house, huh? Well, I'm off to bed for now. Goodnight to you and your furry litle one!
