How do you relax after a long day of work?

My job can be really stressful at times. There are times when I get home and I just want to be alone to sleep it off! Other times I want to go out and hang with a friend or friends and eat, drink (non alcoholic) and have fun. Most of the times I just want to hug my boyfriend and spend a quiet evening with him. Music is a great stress reliever for me as is sitting back with some popcorn and watching a comedy. Whatever it is after a long day of work - I need to relax! How do you relax after a long day of work?

I usually just want to come home, spend time with my fiance, watch a movie, read a book, or something like that. This is usually how I like to relax, after a long day of work. These are just some things that I like to do, in order to relax, after work.

I mainly read murder mysteries. I've been enjoying this literary genre for as long as I can remember, but I do read other genres, such as biographies, drama, poetry, and such. But my favorite still remains murder mysteries.

What kind of books do you read? It's nice to be able to sit back with a mate and just relax and soak in their love after a long day. I really look forward to that.

Let me think about that. I usually open my computer and start chatting with my friends because I really want to know how they are these days since we can't see each other because of busy schedules. Sometimes I watch korean novelas that are so light and entertaining to watch to relieve my stress and relax me. And my perfect way of relaxation what else is SLEEP. I sleep in the vehicle as a travel because it take me 2 hours just to travel.

Well I hardly have any time to relax as such...sleep is my sole method of relaxation. However, when I do get some time, specially over weekends, I tend to listen to music, watch the TV, read magazines and books and of course mylot is here all the time.

well, as to me, when i come home after a long day of work, I would open my laptop and listen to the online music. After a while, my girl friend calls to eat supper, then we eat supper together over the music. After supper, we usually hang out for a while for a walking in the square near where we live, or do some shopping in the supermaket. And then, we go back and watch some online movies or play card sometimes.

Well , If I am that tired , I just want to shower and get in my hammock and I will be sleeping within 5 min . If I'm not that tired I will use the internet for awhile or turn the tv on , it always makes me sleepy .

To me the best way to relax is to meet my near and dear ones and especially take care of the issues that need my attention. Nothing satisfies me as much as the feeling that I take to bed "that I helped someone at the time he needed me". Now this could be as simple as dropping my collegue to hi home. But yes nothing satisfies the feeling of meeting my family members and my girlfriend or atleast talking to her over the phoone.

That is nice that your way of dealing with it is to be nice to others. Some of us just want to foil away and relax but you want to help others. that is really nice.

Yes, we have to relax after a long or stressful work. I watch my favorite movies in dvd's. I take a rest by sleeping. I walk to the seashore and sitting for a while while watching the sunset.

How is the sunset where you are. In Trinidad is it something to behold! I seldom get to go to the beach to watch the sun set because of where I live.. but whenever I get the chance I grab it!

It is so good, and because i am near the Island of Boracay here in Phils. I love watching it. I am not really in the Island just to watch the sunset, We are near in the island and we can see the sunset at dusk... The reddish color of the sky will slowly turn into black, but still love to see the clouds after the sun sets totally, if the weather is good.:)

That sounds a lot like me sometimes. I head over to the dvd club and get movies preferably comedies and watch them. A lot of times I may fall asleep but i get a few laughs in there before to relax my mind.

On Friday night, I like to sit and watch TV. Anything without commercial so I rent a lot of movies to watch for the weekend. IF really stress to the point where I cannot even sit still. I’d rearrange the whole house, but I start with the bedroom and start cleaning. I would throw out a lot of things until the room looks empty. This usually wears me down and I go to sleep. Then weekend, I work on the garden until I am exhausted then come inside the house and do more cleaning until I am totally exhausted and cleaned every corner. This keeps my mind busy from thinking about whatever it is that I cannot control Like my financial situation, my kids acting out, and my miserable jobs with tons of work. Or the fact that I want to move out of the this state so badly but cannot.

Okay! This is different LOL So you work, work and work even more? Wow.. You just go on a cleaning spree so you can fall asleep? What's gonna happen when the place is too clean or too rearranged for you to do anything? Just messing with you. We all find ways to deal with it and if that works for you then hey? But you would have to be tired after all that cleaning and gardening. Do you get out with friends or family or a special someone. I had a Ruby Tuesday treat the other day. It was great and my friend and I had food, drinks and laughs.. We did not plan it but it was worth it!

Hmm... Well, I guess the most relaxing thing to do after a long day of work is to sleep - and I often do that. Anyway, on the few occasions that I do not want to sleep, I usually just watch TV or listen to music or read a book while drinking tea or milk - and then I go to sleep. Well, anyway, that's what I seem to do these days - sleep a lot; makes me think that I may seriously have hyper-somnia after all.

when i am tired i take a small nap and wake up absolutely refreshed. if i cannot catch the little sleep then i call up a special friend or chat with some close freind. if none of these then i take a walk with the little kids of my neighbourhood. i love listening to their trivial fights, their pranks. and their achievements. i also love answering to their questions. with them time flees very fast and i forget all my worries and tensions.

Haha that sounds nice...I can see the same thing here in Trinidad.. watching these kids play you really have to laugh because it reminds you of when you were a child.

I'm still studying in college and I do need to relax too after going for long hour classes. Usually i'll just prepare myself a nice meal and just eat and chill in front of the television. I don't go out with friends because I feel more comfort being alone. I love hanging out with my gf too during relaxing hours.

I like to relax in my hot tub. I picked one a portable hot tub 2 months ago and love it. It's an inexpensive way to relax and get rid of aches and pains. It is great for yards ehere you cannot fit a pool.
