Honestly if i win million dollars, i will save three fourths of it in the bank. One fourth of it will be spend in traveling, giving to my friends and family members. Buying personal things like clothes and silver. Give donation to my school to buy chemistry tools. Will treat my teachers and classmate in a fast food and restaurant once. I will buy pet like bird. I will give all my teacher birthday gift.

Not critisising but the correct way to write your first line is: "I would save three quarters of it in the bank. The final quarter of it would be spent on" etc etc. Hope you don't think I'm picking on your English ability, being an ex English teacher in South East Asia I just like to help.

This question, of course, comes up a lot when trying to get to know people. I have responded the same way every time but still aren't able to properly answer the question. The first thing I would do is make sure that the banking was sorted. It had credited a high interest account and it was safe. I would then transfer a couple of thousand to an accessible account and book a holiday. I would take my lap top, mobile and a paper pad. I would book it somewhere quiet where I can think; it wouldn't be about luxury, sun or partying; it would need to be a great place to decide. Maybe a cottage in Scotland or a spa in France. I would sit quietly, and reflect on what I wanted. I would use my laptop to shop around (for instance a car or house), my paper pad to brain storm ideas and my mobile phone to make calls home. I would probably speak with a financial advisor and ask them how much I needed to put aside to have a healthy amount to pass down to my children. I would question whether I wanted to continue working full time or drop my hours down to study or do volunteer work. I would definately learn to drive, quickly and buy myself something practical, like a new clio/saxo or corsa. I would not want to do 'fancy', something reliable and modest. I don't really know where I would go from there...

Hello 3orabi .. this has 1/1000000 chance to happen , but if it happened I will buy myself a very luxurious car , buy a good house , start a business that will insure a monthly income for me , invest some of my money at a bank , and I will donate 100 000 to the poor students in my neighbor .. and I'm honest in what am saying .. but that as I told you has a very minimal chance to occur .. If it happened I will give you 50 000 :D :P have a good time

In all honesty, I would hang up the phone and not answer the question. Winning a large amount of money causes problems for the majority of the people who win it. I've seen it again and again on television shows about life after winning the lottery. People get jealous, you can't trust anyone anymore because you suspect that everyone is only interested in your money. Marriages break up, families become split. In my case, my husband and I have a large family...some of them living 1,000 miles away...some of them living in the same neighborhood. If we had a million dollars we would have to move and I like it here. We would want to provide homes for all of our relatives close to where we move to which would mean uprooting grandchildren and the children of nieces and nephews from familiar surroundings and schools. Distant relatives who we haven't talked to in years would come crawling out of the woodwork asking for handouts and so would total strangers. My life is good. I honestly don't want more than I already have.

Actually I do understand your part,. But somethings we need to looked also the positive side of money it is not true that winning 1 million dollar will make our lives critical, dangerous and etc. It depends on how you handle the money that you won! May be the one secret is God must always be centered in your family! God gives us anyway of blessing. May be If you won that amount, God had a purpose! Why you? why not others who want it!!!

I would put some in savings and then also retirement and education funds, then I would organize fund raisers with some of the money and donate some of the money to cure for cancer funds, and homeless shelter funds, and save the rainforest funds, and church funds, and feed the needy funds, etc etc etc etc

Pass out first from the shock of winning, then get out of debt, help the needy and a few real good charities, help the injured and abandoned animals, by a home and car. I guess then I'd put the rest in the bank and think on it.

First the government is going to take out a chunk called Taxes. Not sure how many thousands that will be but I might have around $850,000 left give or take a little. From there comes 10% to God so it would go to churches and charity of my choice of belief. After that I would pay all debts owing that my husband and I have. Including paying off our home mortgage which is less about $50,000. After that I would set aside $10,000 in trust for each of my grand kids. I would buy a couple of decent cars and help my adult children out or give them each a nice vacation somewhere. I might travel a bit and see places I have not been and would like to go. But mostly I would invest in real estate and livestock and buy gold and silver. I would put some aside for my golden years which I am quickly reaching. On the thresh hold of them now. I would sell my home here and buy my dream home with 60 acres and get nice furniture, not new but older sturdier antique furniture. Then I would just enjoy life and help ppl as I felt moved by the Holy Spirit and by counsel of family of legitimacy of need. If I gave to charities I would give to the local ones first in my home town area. The homeless shelters and Boys and Girls Clubs.

First, I'll clear all my study loan, car loan and any other loan. Then, I'll buy a extreme computer with latest microprocessor and graphic accelerator to enjoy latest 3D games. I'll spend some money for parents to go on vacation. Of course i need to do some good thing, i'll donate some to charity party. Check out some to do my own business. Last but not least i will keep the rest in bank to earn interest.

It would be awesome if it was real! :-p I think I will probably payoff the house, payoff all the bills. Make the house nice, make it more valuable. Share the money with my family, my parents, buy something nice for myself and my family, have a big party with family and friends! Oh... this discussion is making me dreaming...

Thats pretty big money! If I have that luck to win a million bucks, I will first buy my own dream house and my dream car as well. Then, I will give something to my Mom and other relatives that cared for me. Give to church as well and the rest will be deposited in the bank. Honestly, its very difficult to give money to poor. You will not know if your money will be properly spent. I already experienced that before when I gave almost $4 and later I've discovered that they spent it in gambling. So, now if ever I will share it to the poor, I'll rather give it to charity. These are my plans but It may change when it will be true. Who knows I will be kidnap by terrorists. hehehe

Personally I would donate a third of it to bonefide charities. A third would be put aside in trust for my children for when they graduate university (not to waste but to put to some good use like purchase of a new home etc) and the remainder I would invest half and spend the other half on my dear wife.

I would probably buy a lot of fireworks for the fourth of July, get a new computer, a new TV, and then just put the rest in the bank.
