What pasta do you prefer aside from spaghetti?

I love spaghetti so much I am so grateful to the Italians for concocting the long noodles with tasty tomato sauce and a wide range of seasoning, can be varied according to one's liking. I had discovered that I am really partial for pasta when I tried carbonara and fetuccini. I have long since experimented with white sauce and cheese and had served my San Remo noodles al dente fortnightly for my family, and on occasion, to selected friends. Recently though, a friend gave us a sample of his culinary expertise by preparing chicken grilled pesto with sun dried tomato sauce and parmessan cheese. I was thrilled. Milan, Venice, Rome, adopt me!

I really like penne so we have that quite often. Also fusilli which you can buy as fusilli tricolor in the supermarket. This is three coloured fusilli - one is plain pasta, one is tomato flavoured and one is spinach flavoured. I also like making lasagne although I do it less often but I tend to use lasagne verdi. I like all kinds of pasta really.

I love pasta. Well any pasta will make my day. If you talk about preference then it will be Fusilli. Penne is also cool. I like spaghetti too. They are healthy and really filling. I use them as pre workout meal (carb load). They help me a great deal. I like to cook spicy tomato and mint flavoured pasta a lot.

I like to have spinach taglittela rather than spaghetti, the colour is good and it has a thicker texture. Anyone come across this one, raw spaghetti? My son likes to invade my spaghetti jar and munch on the sticks which I think is really gross, rather like a friend of mine who used to eat raw potatoes.

I am Canadian but married to an Italian who was brought up eating pasta just about every night. I like eating pasta too, but the carbs are too much for me, so I usually only make it 3-5 times a week. Sometimes I will eat something else altogether. My favourite pasta shape is spaghettini which is a little thinner than spaghetti. My kids love penne lisce which is a smooth tube shaped pasta. We also use penne rigate which is the same shape except it has ridges along the sides which holds onto the sauce better. It is good for making pasta al forno. Which is kind of like fake lasagna with ground meat and mozzarella. All pasta tastes the same no matter what shape, it's what you add to it that makes it special. Instead of red sauce or meat sauce, try adding grilled vegetables to your pasta. You can even add veggies to the pasta while it is boiling. We almost always have some sort of veggie in our pastas.

I am a true pasta lover and could have it each and everyday. My favorite pasta besides spaghetti is seashells. I love pasta with red sauce or just garlic, olive oil, oregano, red peppers and cheese. Delicious!
