...if you want sleep more? My son have a real problem..he never want to wake up. is so hard to make him tho wake up when he must go to school...and don t matter how much he sleep. If he will wake up alone...is easy, but if somebody want to make him wake up, will be a real war. This make me crazy, i wake up just in a second, no problem, but with him is impossible, every time we argue when i am home and i must wake up him. I think that i will use 3,4 alarm clock, and i will let him to argue with this all rings...Maybe will be a good solution, or i will use a big water cup. Do you have somebody who wake up very hard, or maybe you are like this?

Well I always trick myself into thinking Im getting more sleep. My clock in my room is 5 mintues fast and I set my alarm at least 30 mins before I really have to get up. Some morning is hard to get up as it is for everyone but I just do it, just like everyone else does. As for your son, all kids go through that. My cousin Kevin had a really problem getting up when he was suppose to. It was just a couple of years ago when he went away to college and got a job that he began waking up properly. My sister is always hard to get up. When I was still living at home she was a mess to get up.She is not a morning person and when she has the morning shift at work watch out!!! She is so grumpy.

Hey there Icesmile! Haha! Every weekday when I have classes, I'm usually the first to wake up from both of my siblings, I wake up around 5-6:30 am take a bath end before 6:30 and then my siblings take a bath. I go up quite easily if I know there is classes since I don't want to be late and have to face the guidance counselor and his long, long, long lectures! and the guidance counselor's stare, the stare of pure anger! Hahaha!

Hi, Ice! Waking up is one of the things I do really poorly. It takes me forever, it seems, to wake up completely. I'm barely able to speak and almost always in a fog for hours. I don't get very grumpy, but I'm certainly not friendly in the morning.

I wake up easily since my alarm even disturb my dream. Besides, I place it a bit far so I need to get up and fetch it. There's no point of ignoring as the sound will never stop. My sister has your son problem. She might toss and turn as I try to wake her up. Even after wake up, she just sit down sleepily and go back to sleep just like that.

How old is your son? My son will be 10 this July and he has to wake up at 5:45 (poor thing) to attend morning school. Its war every morning at that time…I do win and he does get up grudgingly but some mornings he’s a real pain…I just feel like pushing him back to bed…I feel so frustrated. Regarding myself, well, I have to leave bed by 5:15 am so not at all happy about it. I set the alarm otherwise I might just sleep on. I do get up instantly (once, I had just wanted to take a few more winks and was late by over 15 minutes) But I am grumpy so my son creating a problem just aggravates the situation.

I can go on 4 hours of sleep and not be grumpy and get up pretty fast still. My 16 year old daughter however is a very deep sleeper and very hard to get up! She drives me nuts sometimes. You have to keep yelling to her to get up. I finally found something that works on her, I tell her if she does not get up NOW there is no computer that day and night. Maybe you can take something away from your son.

I'm pretty much motivated so I don't need anybody to wake me up. I have my own body clock and I abide with it. The soon that I open my eyes, I already get up and start working. Sometimes, I eat breakfast but often its bruch, lol. Specially now that I have things to do on mylot and other earning sites, I know that I need to do something to gain something. Even when I was studying I'm often punctual. I guess, you son needs something that will stimulate his interest. If he is self-motivated he won't need any outside factors to push him to do something. Give him some incentives, it may come in any form but its not advisable to give him money to wake up... Maybe things that he likes.

your son probably sleeps very late at night. if so, the thing that needs to be changed is that habit but you said he is 19? maybe you can give him a curfew so that he comes home early? then maybe you need to make it clear to him that since he is a student, he has to go to school and not be late. if his tardiness will cause anything to make his grades go low or failing then you can treaten (cant think of other term milder. lol) like taking away some liberties he presently is enjoying? or ground him? oh my! i guess it will cause war? still the best way is talk with him the rational way and explain the sober way. if you have been giving him a "loud speaker talk" everytime, maybe you can change your style? hey, is there any sickness that is causing this? maybe you should send him to a doctor?

Hi, if your son read now this topic, he will wake up very fast, i am sure!! Is so hard for somebody to try to wake up other who is really hard to wake up. this is a real problem for you. ..It s a good idea with military school, if he hear to me now will hate me. But you can let him 2,3 times to sleep and don t go to university , and he will be so shame, and maybe will make him to wake up alone. I say maybe, i am sure that you try all until now

my brother's like this, and I used to be. Has he been checked for sleep disorders? also get a trucker alarm, one that is very loud and nasty. There's even one that will roll off the bedside table and under the bed so you have to fetch it. also he's 19. why are you waking him? this needs to be his responsibility now.Tell him he's an adult, adults get their own selves up, and if he continues to be nasty he will find that unpleasant consequences.

If i have to go for work or college then i will get up very fast as soon as the alarm clock rings. If its a weekend i will sleep till eight am and then get up.I don't like to get up very late like ten or eleven am.I don't feel very good. When i have my exams i get up at around three or five am.It gives me ample time to revise my studies.

If I am taking a nap, I over sleep the alarm, and it is very difficult to get up. When my lover is getting up though, I have no problem stumbling along after him, even if we have had not much sleep.

I am sometimes like this. Normally I can bounce up when it is time. If I wake up by alarm I'm usually pretty good. But, if someone tries to wake me up before it is time, I have been told I get violent! My dad had to learn this lesson the hard way. He told me once that he went to wake me up. He used to wake us kids up by tickling our feet. My brothers just curled their feet up into the covers higher and higher until they couldn't go anymore and had to get up. Dad said that one morning he came to get me and I kicked him in the face! I don't remember this, which is probably very good because I would have been beat if I was fully awake and aware of what I had done!

Hahaha, do not use any water to wake anybody. This may cause problems with the lungs when you pour it to a sleeping person. Well, maybe your son will just change later on with time. I do wake up easily. Usually just about 1 or two calls or taps, I am aroused from sleep already.

Lol im terrible at getting up! Im not always grumpy but usually when my parents try to wake me up i say quite happily " Yep im awake, im getting up =)" and then an hour later they have to come back and wake me up again lol. Either that or i just tell them im getting dressed and just sleep for a while hehe. I really should get better at getting up!
