What's your bedtime routine?

Hey Mylotters! As it's getting to 10:30pm in England, I was just wondering what your bedtime routine is? Mine is to get ready for bed, wash my face and clean my teeth. I then get into bed with my laptop and either watch a film or a TV episode. It's probably bad to be watching something on a screen so close to me falling asleep but I find it helps. How about you?

This is a really good discussion,because sleep is really important to everyday life because we have to have sleep so we have the energy to get up and do things during the day,and plus sleep regenerates our mind so we are able to think clearly which is a good thing,and I am sure that different people have different routines when it comes to going to bed,I am sure that some people might brush their teeth before going to bed,while others might eat a snack and then go to bed,and I know that everyone is different,and no two people think the same way,so I can understand that the routines would vary,and I am sure it is very rare for two people to follow the same routine,that sounds like a pretty good routine,and as long as it helps you sleep then it is good,and when it comes to me and my fiance,usually about eleven p.m. we will get in the bed and watch the show The Nanny,which comes on at eleven and eleven thirty,and then at midnight we will turn the television off and try to go to sleep,which some nights I have trouble sleeping,and other nights I can instantly fall asleep,have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

Thanks for your post! I like to be able to watch TV in bed, and I agree sleep in very important for everyone.

Your very welcome,I like responding to peoples discussions because it allows me to share my opinions and ideas,and it also allows me to learn the opinions and ideas of other people,since everyone brings different stuff,and it also allows me to learn new things,or new ways to do things,and I am sure a lot of people like watching television in bed,and I am glad that you agree that sleep is important for everyone, have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

I'm usually already asleep at 10:30 especially when I have to get up early the next day for work - traffic is often bad so we have to make sure that we leave our homes much earlier. I have a very simple bedtime routine: change into my bed clothes, brush my teeth, wash my face, read a few pages on the current novel that I hold, then just doze off :) I don't have any problem falling to sleep, it's a gift :P I guess it's not that bad if you're watching from your laptop as long as you don't have the player in full size of your laptop screen :P Also, you have to make sure that your room is twice as bright as your computer screen - but most people find it hard to sleep that way. It's probably not the best habit for me to fall asleep in the way but I do but I don't think I will be using this method for ever just while I'm a student! When I was younger I used to read before falling asleep but I'm so busy at the moment I haven't found the time to find a good novel to get stuck into!

We watch TV in the family room usually until we are nearly falling asleep, sometimes my husband will just stay there if he is too lazy to get up, but I prefer sleeping in the bed. I will get up and brush my teeth, and wash my face and crawl in to bed. Since I am half asleep anyways I don't have to do anything additional to tire myself enough to sleep.

i've sometimes done this! When you can barely keep your eyes open! I like to make sure I'm in bed as well, I would otherwise wake up with cramp because I would have slept in a strange position.

hii dear friend..nice to meet you here..I have my routine sleeping and also waking up time..I will maintain the same time daily..That at the night here in India i will sleep at 11pm..This is my dailt time to go to sleep..Up to 11pm i will watch the TV and also some times i will watch the movies in my compiuter and also surfing the net..So that i will sleep before the 11pm..And then at the morning i will wakeup early that is sometimes 5am and at sometimes 6am..Sp it is enough for me to be active the whole day..And then some times that is when i have the holiday i will sleep at the afternoon also..That just an hour..So that i will get more realax..When i have college i will sleep at the afternoon..Because it is not possible..Happy mylotting dear friend..have a nice day..keep smiling and happy earning..

Hi beki. My routine is a bit different. I work on the computer or watch a movie until I'm tired... or it's getting close to midnight. I usually wash my face right after I come home from work to just get rid of the make up and stuff... so I just need to brush my teeth and comb my hair. Then I open the window, get into bed and set my alarm clock for the next morning.

Thanks for sharing! I leave everything until ust before I go to bed as I often can't be bothered to do it earlier - I guess I'm lazy!
