haha that's funny! even if it's really hot in the philippines, i didn't even think to wear gloves while driving except when i'm driving a bike tho.
I think that you just need to have your car tinted (magic tint) so that your wife won't get sun tanned. =)

I think that this would only apply if you are driving an open car or with sun coming through an open window. Only the ultraviolet in the sun's rays is responsible for tanning and, since glass (except for certain specialised kinds of glass) is completely opaque to ultraviolet, you could not tan if the only sunlight were coming through the windows (for example, in an air-conditioned car).
