i have about 11 referrals for mylot and i say 5 of them are active. not always at the same time, but i think i make half of my payout due to my referrals. you need to find people who like to be online. you need to find people who enjoy this kind of website. the whole making money part of it would just be extra. cause they really like the whole social part of being online. i know it sounds like alot but it's not that hard. if you are apart of other sites then those are the kinds of people you want to invite to mylot

Hi Marcia, Its wonderful to see somebody so veteran here...you know most of the veterans are gone for various reasons. I am myself here for quite sometime though I must say I have no referrals. Maybe my response is not strictly in accordance with your post, but it set me thinking as to if I could get any referrals myself...so I just wanted to read what the others are saying about cultivating referrals. I dont think referrals are too reliable though, for the reasons mentioned by you. Do let us know if your thoughts of fliers and leaflets have worked in getting you referrals.

Gee, it's hard to believe we've been here that long. We joined right around the same time! You know, I don't have any referrals, and I've never gotten any. How about making a flyer and putting it up at the local supermarket. It's pretty easy to make those kinds where you just tear off the little strip at the bottom that has the URL on it with your referral id. (I see that kind a lot hanging at the market.) Hmmmmm, maybe I should try that myself lol.

I've managed to get a couple of people to join; but none of them actually do anything on here. I gave up nagging them a while ago. I figure that I can't depend on my referrals. I just have to do it myself. LOL. I'm working on getting my site up and running again. I didn't renew my domain thingy and lost the whole thing. But since I'm no longer online at home, I don't have the ability to keep it up much anyways. I can't wait to get a new computer and an internet connection - but unfortunatly I have to. I have no idea when I'm going to be getting either.

I've gotten several referrals from talking about myLot with my friends. Some of them joined, but very few of them ever did anything with it. The one friend who did a lot, had a rating of 10 (janeives43), and absolutely loved the site, was abruptly cancelled by myLot...and without explanation. She sent myLot numerous requests for reasons, but they never replied to her. It was embarassing to me because I had referred her. Since then, because myLot doesn't seem to have a policy in place to answer inquiries, I haven't referred anyone.

Hi...4 years is so long time really, mean that this site work very good. About referrals, is really very hard, people don t like to sign under you because think that will help you and nothing more. And people want something else usual, want to chat, want to navigate to internet, don t want to be in same place to long time. Is very hard to try to convince somebody.

Maria, I have 13 referrals, non is active. If you need to know good site for referrals I am happy to give you good source, but referrals will not guarantee that they stay active. HUGS

I been here also for nearly 4 years and i haven't got any active referral . I think i have more than 10 referrals but unfortunately i don't have a luck with them as they have been intimated or not interested or whatever reason they have for not getting active. Most of my referrals are friends and lately it came from a forum that i once post about mylot couple of months ago. That one is very effective but once they have sign up with their free will, they have lost interest the hour after or the day after signing up. The reason maybe because they might got intimated or confused because it uses english here. Anyway, i am enjoying myself here and rewarded for it without them being active. The only person that is lucky is the one who referred me...phew! This month alone she or he is benefiting from me nearly $20 without a sweat.

I am here for more than 2 years. i do have hardly any active referral. So what I earn are my earnings only. So its tough to get paid each month.

I have been a member of Mylot for a long time, too. I also have four referrals. However, none of them are active. In fact I found the people around me are not interested in Mylot. So I have to depend on myself. It doesn't matter that I have no referrals. I love China

Well, I've been up for three, though active only in the last few months. i did get a friend or two to join up, but they didn't stay that active at all. Its tough getting people from India, ya know. What mostly works is if you have a couple of friends, you can ask them to join u on this noble adventure. Or you could put it on your blog or somewhere and expect people to follow it. Though it won't work until you have a LOT of visitors, and in that case, you don't need to use mylot anyways.

4yrs? that's great! so, you must've some dough from mylot, eh? just kidding, hmmm... I just got a referral, my old friend joined mylot... but the account is not yet active... I suggest you tell your friends what it's really like to be in mylot, explain everything, in that way they understand what are we doing right here... and don't leave the earnings part unexplained, this is what really convinces them... LOL But I believe, you can do it! just believe in yourself that you can have many referrals... and it will happen

Hello Marciascott, this is what I did to get referrals: Put my Ref:link on Friendster , Facebook and all other social websites. That will be viewed by frm network of friends. I hope and believe there will be someone interested to join. All you need to focus is the 'CAPTION' you enter before you post your Ref:Link! I'm sure you won't be able to find Net-browsers at he grocery store! They never leave their house most of the time. So, try putting up your Ref:Link on your blogs. I'm sure it will work! Happy to here this news you reach your 4 th year on Mylot. But the Sad news you are having just 2 referrals. I am the New one to the Mylot i am also have Two referrals it's easy to Refer the People here. You tell about this Socialise site And post Your Referral links on the Money Making Forums and Referral exchange Program it will Help You earn more Referrals. But my suggesion is the referrals not helpfull for you lots of New commers not like this site So much. The reason is it's need a long time and it's need some English knowledge for Posting the Comments. So the Referrals is not make the Big for ours. Better think is your hand and your mind will make you more money trust you moore... Happy Myloting

The most I ever earned from a referral is 2 cents. I once wrote my referral on a bunch of dollar bills hoping that someone would join, nope that didn't work neither. I tried to post my referral on yahoo answers and they treatened to kick me off, that didn't work neither. Good luck Marcie on getting some referrals.

I had quite a few referrals but they do not stay, they want money immediately and find this system takes way too much time to make any money so I just stop bothering with it, you could put a signature at the bottom of your emails to a link to hear, some people might take you up on it.

I'lll be here 2 years come September. And I to have not gotten to many. I have probably about 10 but none of them do anything! Got links on my blogs and other places, but just don't get the referrals. Oh well. I'll keep on alone!

Hi there Marcia Scott. I have no change of getting referrals in my country as people don't believe mylot, or all the other paying sites to be worth while, and they prefer to work in real life. I think there will be at least a couple more years before people in my country will start getting more involved in online working. Meanwhile i am earning myself a little extra each month, and i have actually felt the money in my hands a couple of times and it felt good.

Wow 4 years is a long time and i really appreciate your devotion towards mylot and i feel it is worth it.......but very few people understand how good mylot is......i had a referral, who joined many interest groups, put up a nice pic, started one discussion, that's it and then never returned back.......i don't understand whats the matter with him.......he didn't even have the patience to try mylot for a day.....so lets see how it goes in the long run......having a referral is definitely an added bonus......it makes things lots more easy for you....if you have 10 active referrals it is even more better.......you can just work for 2 days here and rest for the other days while your referrals fetch some earning for you......but then i really don't care about money factor so much......i am having a gala time here on mylot.....i think even if i pay for these services i wont get such wonderful people.......so it is all worth it !!!!
