to start windows faster you have to use a program by microsoft called bootvis. microsoft bootvis identifies the boot up time taken by your pc and also identifies the softwares which are making your pc boot up so slow. it does a test and after 2-3 restarts it gives you a report and modifies windows accordingly and helps windows to start faster

Remove all startup entries, stop un-necessary services, uninstall antivirus, defrag your system drive and registry, empty your temp folder. if still startup is slow, check your ram , hard disk and fan is working fine. If every above thing is fine then you need to re-install windows.

Your windows faster?mmh ok..you must check your ram and also cancel all programs or processes that will oad authomatically when the windows will start!!So in many cases all programs starting authomatically can affect the velocityin the start up for windows!!Surely you must consider that if your ram is not so high naturally also the velocity and start up will be not so fast and improved!! The big mistake for windows os is about velocity of the processes due to the complex user itnerface ,graphics, and programs loading...so if you want an user interface and os faster..beh lastly you can check some distribuiton of linux as well!!

I agree with both of them. Also delete the unwanted things from your computer and also images and movie. Occasionally delete the cookies from your computer.

Check the RAM memory and if it is less, try to uninstall bulk unused applications. You may also try formatting your system.

When that guy said memory - he meant RAM, not hard drive memory. RAM drives the computer - basically. So if you have a lot of RAM (Say 2 gigs), your computer will be faster. Now if you don't have money to buy RAM, you need to defrag on a regular basis, clean up your computer by removing files that you don't need/use - try that for now. See how it works. Good luck!
