what to do if you can't eat pizza

My brother went to the clinic last week for his medical tests. He had been advised that his blood pressure is around 140/100 which I think is pretty high for a 30 year old guy. He doesn't smoke, doesn't drink much but way too stressful with his job. When he visited our place last Saturday, he was really craving for some pizza though we've learned that pizza is not that good for people with high blood pressure. So can you help me to get an alternative for my brother because he's been always thinking about his pizza. Thanks!

This is a sad state of affairs. No Pizza Something must be done. Surely we should be able to find a healthy recipe. What is he to avoid? Fats? Salt? Let me see what I can come up with. Note: When I was taking Nutrition class in collage we discussed the benefits of pizza. It is not just junk food and can contain foods from each of the food groups.

As far as fats go meats like pepperoni, sausage, bacon and ham, may need to be elimanated or at least cut down on them. Use low-fat mozzarella. You should be able to find low salt/low fat sauces at the supermarket. Add some healthy toppings like veggies or make a fruit pizza. Here is a recipe site with some healthy pizza recipes. http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/collections/healthy_pizza_recipes.html Good luck!

i'm not sure what your brothers dietary restrictions are, but perhaps he could try a healthier version of pizza. like, make the crust with whole grain wheat, use organic tomato sauce, use lowfat shredded cheese, and top it with lots of veggies (try peppers, onions, jalepenos, etc.) maybe instead of sausage he could top it with chicken or ground turkey, and use a lot of herbs for flavor instead of salt. this won't be as good as pizza hut but maybe it will satisfy his cravings.
