$400,000/year, plus $50,000 for expenses. Think it's too low/too high?

I think that the income is about right. The problem is the $300 million that it cost to get a job that pays this much. Does anyone else in the world have a problem with the "fuzzy math" involved with this job?

Don't think the amount of income has anything to do with who has the job of president. These people don't have the need for the money, it is the power associated with the job they are after. I think it is too high in my opinion when you think of all the overseas trips that is included in it, wonder who paid for the gas it took to fly into New York for him and his wife to have dinner out. All this added to the salary looks to me to be way above the $400,000.

Considering what some CEOs make it's not really that much. But the perks are fantastic!

Piasa, that is how much Vikram Pandit made for TWO WEEKS of work last year. His company lost $18.6 billion dollars last year. And his perks are to bad either.

Looks like $400,000 USD, plus a $50,000 expense provision and undetermined travel and pomotional allowances paid by other departments, like the military services.
