The question is pretty self explanatory. Would you rather have a laptop or a desktop and why? I personally have a laptop but wish I had a desktop because laptops get slow very quickly. What do you think is better ?

It depends on your use becasue if you want to do your work when you are not at the office or at home then you can carry laptop anywhere and you can do it. depends on business you are doing. Desktop are mostly used by person who always use them when they are at home or at Office. For e.g. If one person who goes from one city to another and stay in hotel carryng laptop then he can see his project through wireless internet and access his mail, and can complete his work.

I think a laptop. I don't play many games, like the portability of a laptop, and have no real need for a desktop. I can do everything I want on the laptop.

My family owns desktops and laptops at home. I have a laptop since I need it for my course, I can't live well without one and I study miles away from my home. But when I'm at home, I prefer using our desktop since it is really fast and has nicer specs.

It depends on what you need a computer for. Laptops are very convenient. I wish I had a laptop so I can watch TV and be on mylot at the same time. I don't know how much I'll be able to concentrate on either but it'll be nice. However, I really like my desktop because I can upgrade without too much fuss. I've had this desktop since high school. I've just upgrade the parts every two or three years. It depends on how it's working and all that.

I'd really prefer a laptop, it's more convenient to be able to go around the house and bring to the library if I need to. Also I like to lay in bed and use the internet, which I obviously can't do with a desktop

i prefer havin a laptop when i was at uni because in a small room its nice that i could place my laptop pretty much anywhere and its one item whereas a computer you have the keyboard and other components, however now its the summer my laptop gets overheated anyway so havin this on my lap makes me too hot so then i prefer the desktop

It depends on the application of your work.. Laptop is usually preferred for light jobs like presentations ... but Desktop is usually designed for heavy jobs like gaming, hours of processing like graphics or sound processing. laptop keyboard is way too congested and i usually feel unconformable using it .. further more laptop internal is complicated not like Desktop CPU where you can openup the cabin and check if all board ,ram or any card.. is properly inserted and things like that .. i prefer desktop over laptop but if you travel a lot then laptop is preferred..

well, the portability of course. it is so easy to move around with your laptop and it doesn't consume any room space too. and,to be honest i am not sure why a desktop would be slower than a laptop, my friend.
