I want to take a short story for example. There was a very excellent swimmer who wanted to cross a channel. However, he was unlucky. Not long after his beginning, dense fogs has fallen up. After a long time, the swimmer was very tired. He looked forward and wanted to known how far he would get to the destination, but saw nothing except dense fog around him. At last, he give in. When some person told him that it was less than 10 meters that he would get to the destination, he was very regret for his action. He said the reson why he gave up the challenge was he had no aim. Do you have the same experience in you life?

Its a very inspirational story. i really like it. Wow, aim is really important right. That's the moral of the story. What if I have an aim I want to achieve but the road to have it is so dark? It doesn't matter, right? I do have aim, but I always doubt with my aim. I don't think I can achieve it because I always think that's ok if I don't have it, it must be a reason behind it and something good is waiting for me if I be patient. But that also make me think, if I have an aim, I will work hard to achieve it, and If I don't have it, it still ok, because it much more regret, if I have an aim, but I don;t work towards it because at least i know, I have try my best. Sacrifice must be made. The swimmer must have regret it badly because he has work really hard, but because of no aim, he fail. Yes, the moral, have aim, a concrete aim and work hard towards it.

I'm the opposite. I know few things really worth while in life come easy. If the challenge gets tough, I get stubborn, determined, strong, for nothing can stop me. I'm going to learn something from it all no matter what!!!!

I also have a story. There were two swimmers having a swimming contest. They had to swim about 10 kilometers long, starting from one island across to the other island. Who reached the destination first would win. So the contest started. They swam as fast as they could. When one swimmer became tired at 5 kilometers, he said, "Ok. I give up. I will just go back." So he went swimming back to the island of origin. Lesson: Just nothing. Make your own lesson.

I believe we should have aim in our lives, however, I also believe we should evaluate ourselves as we go and not be afraid to change direction or stop following the path. As for the swimmer, if he truly wanted to go the whole way he would have no matter what the perils. It all comes down to the price we will pay for success in our endeavors and fear of failure.

Welcome to myLot, newbie! The swimmer did have a goal or aim; he just lost sight of it. While that does happen now and then, I think I'm like most people, in that I have short-term and long-term goals. Some are more clearly focused than others. Still, it is with those goals in mind that I do whatever I do.

Yes, we should have aim when we do something in our life.I always try to adjust myself when I feel lost in life. To be frankly, I find it is realy difficult to keep my mind so clear that what the aim is. I just classify the aims or goals into short-term or long-term. But when it is time to carry out the plan, there always are some other trivial things need to be take care.So ,I think that the aim in short-term should be adjusted.
