It's really great to be a mother

I am a new mom where my baby boy is now 4 month old. I really enjoy being a mother, taking care of my baby, though I do not have as much personal time as before, I think spending time with my baby or for my baby is really a great joy. Although I may not have enough sleep during the midnights, where my baby is crying and I need to carry him and comfort him and make him sleep. I seldom go out with others, and even go shopping, as I want to spend more time with my baby. I just can't explain or describe my feeling of being a mother to others, as it's hard to explain. It's just one of the greatest feelings in the world that I've ever had. Every time when I think of my baby, I feel satisfaction and I feel really happy. Every time when I do something for my baby, I feel happy too. Of course, every time when I see my baby, it's really the greatest joy in the world!

I hope you take alot of pictures because they grow very fast. Enjoy your time. It is a very happy thing to be a mother. Is the dad happy about it too? I hope so. It is a joy to behold. I can recall when I got paid and going to get my daughter a new outfit and taking some cute pictures of her. It was a great time! She is 37 now.

Hi there, thanks for your response. Yeah, I keep taking pictures of him, even though he's sleeping. Babies really grow up very fast, without noticing, he has grown this big already. Yeah, my husband loves him very much too, and both of us always discuss our son, and always think he's very cute. It's really great to see your daughter grow up, right? ^_^

Hi! Congrats for being a new mom! trust me you will have fun with your baby! I have an 17 month old baby girl! Whew! i had fun. same as u, i dont have that personal time or going out or shopping or eat in a nice restaurant but when you see your baby growing up, see them walk, hear them say words, try to do new stuff and discover a lot of things. You'll be surprised every single day. So i would say just spend time with them sooner or later, they're out and about!!!!

I'm glad you are enjoying motherhood. The sleepless nights will finally end and you will move on to other things. I remember a doctor I knew once said that when you are sitting there rocking that sweet baby, remember the sweet times when the child is a 10 year old hellion. Oh, and once the baby starts moving and talking you are off to the races. Then you will find yourself wishing they would shut up. Enjoy it as long as you can, your work is just beginning.

Hi there, thanks for your response. I don't really mind sleeping less and spending more time with my baby, as he grows up, I don't think I'll spend as much time with him, he'll prefer to spend time with friends, I suppose. This is the time where I can have all of his time.

I think I can totally understand you because I am also a mom. When my baby was born, I didn't have personal time because my life was to be with him all the time. Even if when he was sleeping, I still looked at him now and then to see whether he was fine:) Now he grows up and we can go out to the park, swimming pool etc. It is lots of fun:) I love China

Hi there, thanks for your response. Yeah, that's why people said when you've become a mother, you'll be light sleeping, any tiny sound your baby makes will wake you up. I wish to bring my baby to the park and swimming pool too, perhaps when he's about 6 month old.

I just became a mother for the first time three months ago. You are right when you say that words cannot explain the feeling of being a mother. To me, it is the best feeling in the world. All the hardships that come with motherhood are so little when I see my little one smiling at me. When I'm at work I think about her all day. When I finally get home I just hug, kiss and play with her until she falls back asleep.

Hi friend, Congratulations. I have been a mother 3 times. All three times it has been the most wonderful thing in the world. I loved being pregnant. When I was pregnant I was very lucky and only felt wonderful with all three of them. These poor women that go through morning sickness and such, my heart goes out to them. When I was pregnant, I always loved the feeling of never being alone. Unfortunately, my baby days are over. It's probably a good thing because I think I would spend my whole life pregnant if I could. But the greatest memories I have are those smiling faces in the morning. I would walk in their bedroom and each one always had a big smile on their face. There are so many other wonderful memories, but that seems to be the one that I loved the most. It just made every day a great day. Enjoy, there's nothing else in the world like children, your own children. Cheryl

That's what is so wonderful about being a mother! All those other things just don't matter, do they? Having a child is the best part of life and when he grows into manhood you can look at him proudly for a job well done. Then you'll remember all those times he said he loved you, when he ran to you after skinning his knee, his first birthday and all the times he did sweet things for you like pick you flowers. You'll have a lot of good times and so many memories and your heart will burst with love when you remember his sweet little face gazing up at you. My boys are young men now, out on their own and I'm so happy they've been in my life! A word of caution--don't forget your husband, take the time to make him feel special. Your son will learn by watching the two of you what a marriage should be. Let him see you treat your husband with love and even put aside your son's wants for your husband's every so often. I didn't do that and I'm no longer married. It's a good thing, too, but I deeply regret my neglect of my husband.

Hi there, thanks for your advice. Besides having good time with my baby, actually I enjoy spending time with my husband too. I like the moment three of us together, it's just so sweet and warm. Also, I understand my son is going to grow up and has his own life, and that's the time I need to learn to let go and let him be independent. I am preparing for it...

Hi Kaka135 , I'm quite excited myself becoming a mother in less than 3 months from now ....A lot of my friends would say that it would be so tiring for the first 6 months but I know it will be worth it.

You are so right, words can not describe how it feels to be a mother, the joy you feel in seeing their smile and learn new things. Bask in this as it goes by so fast.

Welcome to the mothering world! I am a mother of 2 kids. I enjoy being a mother too though it is not an easy job. It is true, as a mother, we lost most of our free time, even our rest time. Now your baby is still small, she needs midnight feeds. As for my 2 kids yan is 3 years old and Heng is 17 months old, they both have wean off the midnight feed since 3 months ago. LOL I am happy that I now can sleep through the whole night. Watching them to grow day by day is such a happy moment... do enjoy your life as a mother!

Hi there, thanks for your response. Yeah, it's so true. I just can't believe my baby is really 4 month old. I just feel like I've just got pregnant, then gave birth, then he's already 4 month old.

Many mothers don't like to be one. It is good to know there are still good mothers. It is a gift having a great mother. Someone who really sacrifices for her child. But don't push yourself too much okay? You need yourself healthy in order to perform the tasks of a mother. I don't have a son or a daughter yet but with stories like this, I come to think of what God feels when He provides and shows His love for us as His children. :)

Well congratulations!! Though I have not become a mother yet I know becoming one is such a great feeling. I have seen it with my sister when she bore her first child. I could compare it also when my eldest pet had his first puppy that I got from a puppy share. I felt soooo happy that moment when I carried the puppy in my arms. I know the feeling is close to becoming a real mother hehe. Ciao!

Being a mother is a wonderful thing to experience. They are really cute and cuddly.I used to sit and watch my babies sleep and watch them twitch and flinch ,they do that as new born as they are feeling for the sides of the womb.I never got anything done when they were awake I nursed them and when they went to sleep I watched them.amazing how your priorites change and the day flashes by ,they are all grown up but I still have my grandchildren to read to and watch. You make the most of these precious times as it all goes by to fast.

Hello my friend kaka135 Ji, It is really great to be mother. There is no relation, which can be compared with mother. It is an unique. Even mother suffers, but She always gets enjoyments. Before attaining motherhood, a woman undergoes many time pains. I consider as second birth for a lady. "A mother is a biological and/or social female parent of an offspring.[1] Because of the complexity and differences of a mothers' social, cultural, and religious definitions and roles, it is challenging to define a mother to suit a universally accepted definition." May god bless You and have a great time.

I love being a mom. I loved watching my kids grow. But I never wanted them to grow up. Now my oldest 2 kids have a baby of their own. And I love spoiling my kids and grand babies. I am a young grandmother and I love keeping my grand babies over night. I love holding my grand babies. I miss holding my daughters when they where babies. My kids and grand babies make me smile all the time.
