Happiness

I agree with the suggestion given ,by a young man I used to meet at functions, ,,That in life you must please yourself first,,Be happy ,,only then you might be able to make others happy,,I do not mean that we should look for grabbing materials,,The idea is to be at peace with our self first,, then it is easy to make other comfortable,,What do you say,,any thoughts,,?

Sometimes you could have a happy feeling after you make others happy. I am not sure it is happiness or not to you, but it is happiness to me. The definition of happiness could be different to different persons.

If you truly want to be happy, use every moment in a worthwhile way. Accept and appreciate the role of each one and yet remain loving and detached. Happiness starts from self and will radiates to others. When you are happy others around you will be happy too. Life is for living, so love it.

I think it's very true that it has to start with ourselves. It has been said by wise people that it is difficult for someone ELSE to like you, if you don't like YOURSELF. And being happy is certainly a part of what makes someone more likeable... it's difficult to be happy, if you don't like yourself. When I look at my friends, and people I know in general, the ones I prefer tospend time with are always the ones who seem to like where they are in life... and like themselves.

Yes indeed. It all starts with you first. If you don't look after yourself, you cannot look after anyone else. If you are not at peace with yourself, how can you give peace or advise to anyone else? I agree with you. Happy mylotting.
