Yup! Good Morning America will be broadcasting from my home town in the morning...because we are in an expermintal project called the Blue Zone that is sponsored by AARP and the University of Minnesota. I personally don't think much of the Blue zone project but it's very good advertising for our town. The Blue Zone project is where they are trying to get people to sign up for a change of lifestyle and longer life. I don't have anything personal against the Blue Zone and I think it's wonderful for those who want to be included. My b*tch would be two different things. One is that there is no set plan for drawing in those that really need it. I mean the seriously overweight, smokers etc. My second complaint would be that the University is putting tons of money into this program.....then they are raising tuition for the students. So I guess my biggest gripe is that is it really necessary to do this when kids need educations more? Just my opinion....anyway if you want to get a glimpse of where I live watch Good Morning America tomorrow morning!

I have it on right now and will be watching. I agree with you about raising tuition in order to do a project of this nature. Everyone deserves the same chance to get an education and raising the cost of tuition might hurt this opportunity.
I'd rather see the professors receive the money. If it weren't for our professors, the kids wouldn't have the chance to receive a good education. My personal opinion is we need to focus on bringing our troops home and not be concerned about other programs right now. By the way, I have no family or friends in the military so don't want to sound bias here.

I totally agree with you, the Money is being put into the wrong things but what can we do about it we don't know anything, we are just the small People and why listen to them, it is the same here in the UK the money is being spent in the wrong Places

I missed the show but happy that they choose your town. Had not heard about the blue zone and that is interesting. Hope it all works out for the best.How was the show and look forward to hearing about it.
