Zero Unresolved discussions finally...what about you and why?

Hey All.. I just resolved my Unresolved discussions.I chose all the best responses and finally I have zero unresolved discussions. What I was wondering is, do you often check your "Unresolved" tab and ensure that you are choosing the BRs, Or do you let the discussions in that tab pile up and then do something about it? Are there myLotters who don't even look at this tab? How many discussions do you have in that tab right now?

My favourite neice! I see you have been working hard and have got them all out of the way! Well done You didn't learn that from me now did you? I have several unattended and some will stay that way forever. There are at least 10 BRs on some of them but I can't choose just one Good to see you busy cbeeeee!xxx

When did I ever call you old.. Veterans don't need to be old and 60s was the number of responses! Aunt D.. how can I ever call you old! Besides, old is a state of mind and I am 5 and you are a teen

That is coz you are a veteran and people keep responding to your discussions. When the number of responses is in its 60s and beyond, of course it would get tough. I responded to your message above. Please scroll up on the page.

I usually wait until a week has passed from the last response was posted. Then, I reread all the replies and pick a best response. I have a few unresolved discussions because I have a few no one ever responsed to.

Hey there, I wait for about a fortnight myself and then chose the best response. If you want any of the discussions where you don't have any responses to get answered, please PM me the URL of the discussion.I would be more than happy to give them a shot. We are friends after all. At least this way, it will move into the recent discussions and so more people can then respond.

Hi cbeee! You know the funny things about that is when I looked at my unresolved discussion is that some of them were resolved along time ago! I have no idea how they could have gotten unresolved! I have heard other mylotters say the very same thing! I know that I picked a best response and then all of a sudden the discussion is unresolved? I don't understand and neither did they! So now I have to go back to quite a few of my older discussions and pick another best response? That is really kind of strange! But, I guess I will have to just do it again because I don't want to have unresolved discussions! But, I definitely know that I picked best responses already!

Hiya Opal. That is indeed very strange.. I could count the number of discussions I have, using the fingers of both my hands and the toes of both my feet. But when I get to a stage where I have more discussions, I will keep this in mind.I am glad you shared this with us. But this is very strange.

In the earlier days of mylot, I did not leave the comments to the responses I received to my discussions as I was unaware of the procedure of mylot and its guidelines. Then after knowing them , for about a week, I have started to search for my old discussions and leaving them comments and choosing the best responses. As the count is more than 400, I find difficulties to read all the responses again to leave a comment and also to mark the best response. I am not able to do it for more than 3 or 4 in day, in addition to the current discussions. But I will finish them all within a month to keep my unresolved tab clear.

Yes, I certainly do, as I did have some like that, and by giving the best response lets the user know that there answer made a difference, and that they are very much appreciated. I had one where I had 37 responses, and in that situation, it was difficult to pick the best one, as they were all good. I wish we could give more than 1 best responsee, as it sure would make it easier. I went and read all the responses again, and it did take me some time to pick just the right onw, but I finally did. When I don't have all that many responses, or just one, then it is easy. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Hi rose, That is really nice of you. I am sure there are some who don't even take the time to chose the BRs. I think its very important, just to let your friends and all the participants of the discussion know that you do think their response is valuable.I am glad you do what you do. Happy myLotting!!

I think that's great that you put that much thought and effort into awarding people a best response. I have a really hard time too when there are quite a few responses. Especially the discussions where a lot of the responses are the same I have a hard time picking then. I never know if I should give the best response to the person who came up with the original idea first or what.

Be honest, I did not pay much attention about this tap. When I have chance to come back and read my topics, I always reward the best response. I have quite a lot discussions in my unresolved tap at this moment. It is not so good!!!

Hey there, So think of this as a reminder. Get to that tab and reward the BRs.Don't you think its important?

I usually check the unresolved tab all the time. It shows me who responded last so I can get back to them and try to keep up with everything that is going on in that particular discussion. I think it's the easiest way to keep up with all that stuff. Right now I only have 2 unresolved where it's too early to give out a best response so I just have to watch and keep up with the responses and my comments.

That is a very good practice. It most certainly is easier to keep up with the discussions when they are less in number or when you keep a track of what is going on in them. Thanks for responding and have a wonderful weekend!

No, I don't normally check this tab very often. I don't start many discussions and usually resolved them within a week's time. As I hold onto the email for who I want to give BR to, I don't see the need to check the unresolved discussions tab...at least not usually anyway. There was one time when I took a look and there was one there, even though I knew I had given a BR for that discussion. I don't know why that happened though I'm guessing it was either a glitch in the system or the response I marked BR had gotten deleted. I currently have one unresolved discussion. But only because I posted it a few days ago. Happy mylotting!

This sounds like a familiar case I used to have not long before.. I think those unresolved discussions are sometimes overlooked, and sometimes we fail to mark best responses on them. There are also empty ones like those unanswered at all and you know which.. I have 0 unresolved as of now and I am very happy..

I have 6 unresolved. Four of them have no responses at all so I cant choose the best and the other two have responses which don't really address the topic.

You have very valid reasons for not having chosen the BRs for all the 6 unresolved discussions. If you would like, send me a friend request and then the links to the unresolved discussions and I would love to give them a shot. I just did this for 3 of my good myLot friends. I would love to help.

Hi cbeee3! Thank you for starting this discussion. I wasn't sure if I knew what unresolved meant. I thought it meant some kind of problems with mylot or something. I usually get emails when one of my mylot friends has started a discussion. I know I do have one discussion that never has had any responses to it. I wish I had titled it something else and I might have gotten some responses to it. Have a good day/night, whatever it is where you are. Kathy.

I asked the same question to hiccup, since u guys posting the same topic there. What is the use of getting our discussion resolved? Is there anything to do with earning and ratings? Please enlighten me. Thanks
