I am glad that there is no God

That there is no God makes me happy and cheerful. We do not have any saviour or protector or judge. We are the ones who should save, protect, judge ourselves.

I am christian and I believe there is a God but I also knwo that my actions are my own. I also don't think God is anything like the catholic description. I find it odd that you that seems to follow Hindu teachings think there is no God but in Hindu religion there is many different Gods of which I am told are manifestations of one greater being. I also agree that we are the ones who should save, protect and judge ourselves: Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Yes things are definitely in my own hands.

The beauty Evans is in Hinduism it is perfectly normal to believe that there is No God and just be morally right, using one's discretion to determine what is right and wrong, and when in doubt go by The Vedic Dicta. If there is anything called saving it is by one's own effort.

hi Frederick in one word "KARMA" our actions affect not only this life but our lives to come. What we do not learn in this life must be learned in the next. Harm we cause will come back to us in the next. Kindness is returned with Kindness Love is returned with love All your past lives will prepare you for the moment to accept "there is God" It will not let us get away with anything.

If you ask a christian or muslim, he will tell you there is no rebirth. Every religion has its beliefs, not necessarily the truth. I feel Karma philosophy has no sense. Why did we take the first life? What was the karma for the very first life? Howver, I do believe in soul and after - life. But not in Karma, which is a hearltless belief and denies logic.

Cannibal, according to Karma, a soul is born based on its past-life actions. Nearly half the world population is poor, in wretched conditions. Are we to believe that they committed some heinous sin in their past lives? Of course, soul is eternal. But is there no beginning for the birth it took? If there is no beginning to the birth, then where does the concept of Moksha arise? Moksha from what? If it has been the nature of soul to go on taking birth from time eternal, then why an end to taking birth?

But Fred, according to the Karma philosophy, the soul is eternal. So the question of 'first life' probably does not arise! We've always existed in some form or the other. It is said that in this cosmic cycle we started through a particular species and our different Karmas led us to different ways. Everyone has to go through each species. The rest is history. We'll probably again start a new journey in the next cosmic cycle, i.e. after Kaliyug, even if we've already attained Moksha/Nirvana. All what I've written here is mostly hearsay and so......

Even if there is no God, I am sure there is a Supreme Being over us.

A Supreme Being would be God, because no other being is Supreme

Hello Fredrick42!!! I agree with you wholly. There is no any saviour or protector than can really protect us or judge us. If there is anyone that can save you in this world, then it is yourself and no other than that. Even no any person can save you, its just that they can show you the way, but you should learn to walk on it.i.e on the path of enlightenment. We know how difficult the life can be, and for which to blame it for the god and keep hoping for some miracle from it, its the stupidity. You are not going to be saved in that way. Because I believe everything is the art of mind, we should learn to escape using this mind... happy mylotting...

Thanks sweetchariot!!! I am very happy that you are praying for the God to have the mercy for me. I am very much grateful towards you. Praying is power, I accept whole heartedly and I also pray for your enlightenment. And about regretting the life or not, there is possibility that you have also mislead the life in the false belief. You cannot say with certainty that I will regret that I have mislead my life. This uncertainty applies to you also dear... I know you are very spiritual person and also I am. It's not that I don't believe in god and I am not spiritual, but I am. The difference is that you search for salvation, I search for enlightenment... happy life and happy mylotting...!!!

Nzalheart...that is no different than Christians...we, too look for enlightment. We ask God to open up our heart and eyes to see the world as he sees it, we look to God for wisdom and understanding, we ask God for the Graces we need to live a life as a good person, to fill our hearts and minds with the things we need to reach this enlightment. The only difference is: We look to God to be enlightened by Him; we believe, without God, this is not possible. I still don't know where you are turning to, to receive this "enlightment" .

Nazalheart...I am glad that you are happy in what you believe! I just hope when you die, that God will have mercy on you, and undertstand that you were always mislead your whole life therefore not responsible for your disbelief. But for alot of the world, it is not stupidity, and there is alot more involved in having faith than looking for miracles. God have mercy!

If that's what make you cheerful, the idea that there is no God...then continue to live as you are. And I will pray that when you die, and you meet your maker, that he won't judge you too harshly. As they say, "better to believe on earth, and find out after you die that there IS a God, then to not believe on earth, and still find out there IS a God." I wouldn't want to take my chances.

A responsible statement. but religions and their believers wont be happy if humanity adopts these approach. that will put an end to their prosperous business of peddling god for money. it will unsettle their plans. so far they fooled humanity and lived like blood sucking vampires. This word needs to go to every one and make them aware that we are responsible & accountable for all our actions and the reactions arising out of it. The concept of someone judging us on the last day and a saviour coming to save us is too stupid.

And I am so glad there is a God who will save us from destroying ourselves and teaches us how to live in love, peace, and unity.

Hmmm, such a mentality can make a criminal even more cruel. If there is no God what is making you so glad? Be more descriptive next time.

Hmmm???? Seems you do not know God after all. God is not a savior, protector or judge. Who has been telling you these things? God is a TEACHER!! You are right. The rest you can do yourself!!

In my case, I'm glad that I believe in God. I'm comfortable with my faith. If you're happy with yours, then I respect that. Peace!
