How often do you exercise, or you are too busy?

The last time I look at myself at the mirror, I found that my stomach is getting bigger, and my waist is definitely wider. I vowed to exercise more and eat more healthy. To the extreme, not eat that much at all in a day. A couple days later, I just stop my exercise routine, and sitting around or taking a nap because I was too tired. Another lame excuse I gave myself. So, how often do you exercise? Are you persistent, or you are quitter like me? Usually I don't go to gym, I rather jogging along the park trail. What about you?

I really don't have to exercise although I wish I did. I move around as much as I can at work, and when my store is empty (I'm not mylotting lol) I do dips off the counter to try to work off that fat wing that is starting to appear under my arms. I was in the Army for four years so I got very accustomed to a structured work out, and I think I enjoy those the most! I have noticed one other thing too- the more you move around and actually exercise the more energy you have. ;) When I take a long weekend from work I find I am tired by the second day, and I think it is because I am not up walking around all day.

I've really started to change my life in regards to exercise and healthy eating. I've found that looking at how much you use the computer and reducing that so that you can do other things such as exercise is really beneficial towards your genral heatlh. As well as that i've ordered some home fitness machines such as an exercise bike.

I would try to cut out some computer time, but I am on all day because of work. I am chained to my computer, but because of that I am always active and moving around when I get home. I haven't turned on my home computer in MONTHS. But at work I try to get up an move around every 30 minutes or so, and like I said I do dips off the counter trying to re-tone my arms. I think mainly its my eating habits that kill me. I work 11 hour shifts and eat only maybe 2 times a day, once around noonish and again when I get home after 10pm.

I sit at the comp the whole day long.I passed out of college 5 years ago and ever since then I have seen to it that I did not gain much weight. In college we have a lot of physical activity, but once caught up in our jobs, at times it can get difficult to make time for fitness. Luckily, my metabolism is such that I don't gain weight easily. That being said,I still try to get as much physical exercise as I can. I use the stairs instead of the elevator/escalator. I also enjoy jogging outside and not in the gym.I like to get my share of fresh air.So I see to it that I make some time every day to jog/walk. It may vary from one day to the next but I do get at least 30mins each day. :)

I used to go to teh gym every day but when my husband got sick in January, I didn't have the time to go. Well, he's home now and I put on 20 lbs as a result of eating too much fast food and getting so little exercise. Back to the gym starting on Monday.

I think this is a common issue when people first start to exercise again. We all want the results but realize that it takes a lot more work than we initially thought. Gyms were never for me and when I first started to work out I would always make an excuse why not to work out that day or right then and keep pushing it off. Some people have the self-discipline to commit themselves to a home workout program while others like myself needed the motivation of others. But like all things if you can suffer through the beginning and get use to it then you will notice that it get easier and easier to make time to go to the gym or put in an hour of an intense home workout. Motivation is the key, not always easy but that's what goals, friends, and family are for.

I normally work out every week. Lately though I have been rather booked busy back to back. So I haven't been to the gym in two weeks and I am starting to feel the effects of it. I hope to go back next week. I know my menstrual will be tough on me this month due to lack of exercise.

I get my workout done in the mornings when I wake up....granted I am bad about hitting the snooze and missing some days, if I dont get it done in the morning then I miss it that day....granted I have 2 kids that I am constantly cleaning up after and playing with and running around with but that really isnt the workout that I require to get back in shape. I started a discussion about getting your body back after having kids....my daughter is 18 months and last year I did well losing the weight but my body is portioned differently so I am working towards getting my mid section back to what it use to be and lose like 5 lbs or so... I have workout videos that I follow, and I am one of those people that goes with the infomercial commercial workouts...like Zumba, Hip Hop Abs...and my newest one is Insanity!! I do get my work out in like 3 times a week for sure, but I have to stay focused and stick with it and do 6 times a week --and that is what I am working on now. good luck to you with your jogging --I wish I had somewhere to go to do that, but I am in an industrial city --no where to really run. happy mylotting.

Exercise does a lot of wonders for our body. It does not only make us healthier, it also makes us happier. So with that in my mind as my new year's resolution I vowed to exercise more. At the beginning of the year I tried to do some exercises like sit-ups, stretches, some walking and running. But lately, I've been attacked by laziness that I hardly exercise at all. I've been busy with school and other stuff that I forget to exercise. *sigh* I wish I was more disciplined though when it comes to exercising. Thank you for this post because I was reminded again about my vow to exercise more this year. LOL ;)

it is very difficult for me to stay with a routine. i find that if i surround myself with options, it helps. for example, my weights are out in the living room, i have a yoga mat and videos in the bedroom. my punching bag is in the living room, most of my home wardrobe is workout clothing. i wear them whenever i am not going out somewhere nice or professional. if i put my workout clothes on in the morning, i am more likely to do something active because there isn't an extra step in the way. that's all it takes to hold me back too. one little thing. i also stay motivated by keeping fit magazines around, and i subscribe to emails like vital juice and fit sugar. just reading about people who are successful and exercise keeps me inspired to do it. Worse CASE Scenario, i turn the hip hop, r&b, pop playlist on really loud and just dance around like a dork until i'm sweaty and pooped. sometimes i even put ankle weights on, i do that just to clean the house. having said all that, the gist is, make your exercise fit your personality and your lifestyle. i'm not a get up at 6am and go to the gym person, so that will never work. think really hard about what would keep you motivated, what your hangups are, and try to tailor your life around those obstacles.

Hello clorissa!!! Well I always fear to get a big stomach haha...From time to time I look at the mirror and think is it ok? Am i getting stomach or my abs are developing lol...? Well about the exercise, I just do it only few minutes a day and I can't do it more. I do some push ups, and a stomach exercise daily. And by stomach exercise I mean, keeping my hands at the bad head and rising up and lying, up and lying.... But I am not very much consistent at doing there exercises. Sometimes, I take long gaps from any exercise, and sometimes, I do them again... Happy mylotting...

Hi Clorissa!I seldom do exercise because I am lazy!During school time,I am so busy that I do not have the time to exercise. To be frank,I really want to exercise myself to refresh myself after finish the heavy study assignments.During the holiday, I sometimes running and play badminton with my friends for about half an hour to an hour. When they are too busy to accompany me,I do not do exercise myself.Sometimes, I skip rope in front of my house for about half an hour.I think I also a quitter like you.Happpy mylotting.

Hi,Sometimes, I will exercise three days a week religiously for months, then for no good reason, I will find myself getting lazy and reverting back to a couch potato. Dancing to the oldies records seems to be motivating, for awhile. What I have recently found that I really enjoy, are the "walk away the pounds," DVDs which allow you to walk up to five miles. They are stimulating and fun because it feels as if I am at the gym with an exercise class and I have finished my workout before I know it. I really think these DVDs will help keep me on my exercise routine track, three day a week.

i don't exercise at all . But i will go out for a walk every day .It's hard for a person to exercise who finished his or her school , especially those got married. My husband once joged for weeks and now he even knows when he stopped the jogging and why he stopped , everything is natural here.
