Not sure if this qualifies as a "become famous" post, but its the best section I could find.
Anyway, I read an ad in an English publication, here in Spain, that said they wanted models and extras. Eh eh I thought, I know what this is, but out of interest I visited their website, and I was wrong, its a genuine extras company on the Costa Blanca that put forward people who want to be extras in real movies filmed here on the coast.
But thats not the story! On the first page they were asking for any female aged 35-50 who had recently suffered in some way and would like help getting their life back on track. They were offering to do a complete makeover, hairdo, clothes, shoes, makeup and a bit of life coaching.
Well, I went for a "chat" yesterday and they said I was perfect and they were going to use me in the pilot. Woo hoo, I get to be made to look nice again.
Aint that great?
Anyone else had their 15 minutes of fame? What was it? How did you stumble upon it?

Even if you do not get your name in large letters in Hollywood, the chance of a complete make-over for free is a wonderful opportunity and who knows what might come of it. Full marks to youfor taking this chance! 
I had the chance years ago to be filmed as part of a crows when filming for a television series was being done here in my town. I opted out. Ihave no wish to become famous at all - too many negatives involved

As long as the others before you bit off the bad parts and left the good bits for those that get to the feast at a later date, it should be absolutely posiitive!

really fantastic. I am so glad for you. this is just
worth telling every one for sure. I hAve never had my fifteen
minutes. maybe its coming? Ha. This should be really exciting
for you and fun too.sounds like you really deserved this.

Id love to watch that episode you're in, though I dont think Ill be able to understand it, since Im guessing it will be in Spanish..?LOL! Will they give you a copy or something? It would also be nice to see that newly made over version of Ritzy That is of course up to you.^_^
As for me, nope, Ive never had that 15 minutes of fame. Well, actually, its more of a mistaken identity. I have the same name as my GrandMother and she was awarded with something, so people who knew me thought that I was the one awarded

was some way that we can see it! Maybe you can get the copy
and post if here for all of us to see! It sounds so thrilling!
I would love to do something like that, but don't think I would
have had the nerve! So good for you for going after something

Wow! Now that's exciting! I've seen some of those kinds of shows and the makeover results are stunning. Lucky you I've never been on television but I've had some of my writing published in newspapers and I've won a few awards. I don't think there's any "fame" involved in those LOL but some sort of recognition is always nice to receive. Have a great time with your makeover!!

Whooohooo!!! go girl!! that is brilliant! I am so pleased for you, would they pay you well? and being in the movie, please let us know what is called and may some day We'll get to see it. Nothing like that had happened to but it has to one of the mylotter here she was in a drama on tv called moving on, she was only on there for a few seconds and I saw her in it., Good luck hun with all you do, hugs.

Hey Ritz100, that sounds like an interesting proposition that you were given. I wonder if you wouldn't mind coming back and telling all of us mylotters all about your experience. Maybe you could post some before and after snapshots of it too. I used to be a stylist but I don't do it anymore. I kind of got bored with it but who knows, i might get back into it in the future. Anyhow, just be careful and ask a lot of questions. Just to make sure it's not some kind of scam........ Take care, good luck! Happy mylot.
