Do you or do you not take an afternoon nap or take one when you're tired? :) Some people think that taking a nap is a waste of time, others take them because they are bored. Some because they are tired or not feeling well. Why are why do you not nap?

Good afternoon nap is a luxury for me. But I do love them. Being a college student who often spent the night doing homeworks and assignment, 20 minutes power nap between the classes is the best to replenish my energy level.

I love a good afternoon nap. I guess it's the digestion system that makes us sleepy after lunch, and I heard it may be bad for the weight, but I don't think so. Last year I always took after-lunch naps and my weight didnt increase or anything. It's always good to rest, and if our body is calling for some ZZs, we oughta attend it.

It's recommended to have naps everyday. It's no wonder we actually feel a little sleepy in the afternoon, it seems nature designed us that way. But you must keep it as a nap and not a full sleep, that is sleeping for more than 40 minutes, as you'll fall into deep sleep, and waking up will be harder and you'll feel tired and unwilling, counterproductive in a word.

I feel tired in the afternoon and want to nap but most times I would stop myself so I would be able to sleep at night. Sleeping in the afternoon is great time for resting but I wouldn't be able to fall asleep at night after. I try to keep myself awake when I get sleepy in the afternoon

If I've had a few rough nights and am feeling particularly lethargic or not getting anywhere with my work I will generally have a doze in the afternoon. The daft thing is I know that when I wake up I will probably feel quite rough for a couple of hours afterwards but then I am back to normal and able to get on with the stuff I couldn't get done before.

I usually don't nap and that's usually because I don't have the time. I go to school and work, and the only time when I can actually nap is around 8pm when I get home from work..And by then, it's like, what's the point? The only days where I might take an afternoon nap are on sundays - when I don't work AND don't go to school!

I find I don't need an afternoon nap mainly because I have 10 hours sleep at night! Napping is not a waste of time because it helps to destress you and recharge the batteries, it's actually healthy to have a nap in the afteroon. And a lot of people in very hot climates have siestas in the afternoon when the sun gets too hot! I am a person who does like his sleep too much but I tend to sleep away the mornings rather than the afternoons.

I sometimes take a nap on Sunday Afternoons because I don't sleep well the night before. Since I go to worship on Sunday Mornings, I have to be up early and it helps me to get a nap in that afternoon. I don't sleep well any night too much so I sleep late all the time, I hate to admit. I think as long as you don't have any obligations, it's all right. You need to have your rest, anyway. Kathy.
