i can't remember exactly when...
I guess I was new to myLot that time.
Coz that time, I barely have the time to log on...
it takes a day or two again for me to log back on.
But I responded to a discussion...and okay, I hit the "post reply" button...
I saw my response posted...
I went on and read previous pages... and oh my God! I responded to the same discussion a week before,and I completely forgot about it!
I guess I had so much in my mind that I really had no clue I responded to that very same discussion.
...and my response,was almost similarin thoughts, not the same words though......
has that happened to you?

I think a lot of us are guilty of doing this, it's so easily done. Normally I rely just on my notifications and once I have responded I then delete the notification so I don't reply twice, but sometimes I am eager to respond to newbies or interesting discussions even if they are not from my friends, but in the past I have realized that on page one or two I have already responded and it's like d'oh!!! One good way is to rate the discussion so if you go back and see it rated you know you have responded previously!

i like responding to newbies discussions too...i like helping them increase thier response count and make it to 200 for the smileys, then to 00 for the copy/paste.
i waas recently a newbie too lolz!
i'm glad i made it past 500.
but i don't know how to rate discussions...
how do i do that?

I think if i can remember, i only did that once and that was to my own discussion, i haven't been here that long though. But i did that consciously, maybe one day i might do it unconsiously, because sometimes i'm forgetful.

I don't know if it happen that I responded twice in any discussion. What I made was to response and response every discussion that emailed to me by mylot. I don't remember any discussion that I responded...have a great day!

yup! my friend. Mylot notify me for discussion. That is mylot digest. There are ten discussion in that digest. So, before I response to response of my discussion I will make first that those mylot digest discussion will all responded...

oh if you respond from your email, i guess you don't get to answer the same discussion twice,.
i think it is a better idea.
what i do is go to myLot main page and look for discussions there..
and since i am very careles..there, i get to respond to the same discussions twice in a week LOLZ!

yes, i can't remember how many times i have done something like that. but when ever the browser had a hard time loading the site, and i get pissed and kept refreshing it, that's the time that something was indeed wrong and it has been considered too late and then as of this time i just use copy paste.

No it has not happened to me, yet anyway. If I read a post I usually read or at least skim over responses also. I do sometimes post a response and when I finally get the response up, I see someone that posted right before I had and they said pretty much the same thing I just said. It's like we were both thinking and typing the same thoughts only they posted their response before I was done. Lol I guess things like that happen alot though, as we are all sharing our opinions and ideas, and are bound to have some of the same thoughs.

nope i haven't experience that. i always make sure that i don't respond twice in the same discussion since some people here said that if we do that often, we will be banned here. maybe you would check your works twice so that that won't happen again.

you will learn a lot from the FAQ panel on the homepage of mylot. i usually go over it everyday so that i will be reminded of the do's and dont's of the site. the next time that i planned on something, i will make sure that i always conform to the conditions given by the admin. happy mylotting and have a nice day.hey cut off is near. i hope you can make it to pay out.

Experience it before. My mylot notification are off. I responded to my friends discussion and responded again after a month? I laughed hardly because it seems my brain became nerdish and can't remember that I already contributed to this certain discussion. Much worst they response I gave is not similar hahahahahahahha.

it's really a shame on our part when we respond to a single discussion, more than once. but we are just human so we commit mistakes. i know it also did happen to me but i can't remember well.

funny is, right about an hour ago or less, my friend responded to my topic, twice.
it's because she opened more than one tab. unknowingly, she opened two tabs, each for my two discussions. and when she submit the post, she got shocked seeing her first respond above.

Yeah, that's why I asked you hehe. If on your first response you agreed and then on the second one you disagreed that would really be a funny mistake.
Good thing your ideas were the same! It also proves that you don't respond just to respond and earn. It means you really think it through first before making a response.

I have not responded to the same discussion twice because I recall someone doing it to one of mine almost a year ago! The person became aware of the mistake and apologised. I thought it was funny at the time and how easy it was to do. Ever since then I have made it a habit to check before responding!

Yes, actually many times.hehe. Sometimes I cannot remember exactly if I already posted my response to that discussion. If I love the discussion even if it is already two years I would really post my response not knowing I already posted one long ago..lol!it's really funny actually.

I think I might have done this too, but I'm not sure. Sometimes when I'm responding to topics I would feel like "deja vu." But maybe that's just because I've seen a topic that's similar but not exactly the same. If we accidentally post on the same discussion twice one of the two would be deleted, right?

I'm afraid other users or the starter will think I wanna extra earning by typing double responses, and report me
So now I try to remember and check all the responses first if I feel unsure before decide to type anything!

Hello patofgold. I have had this kind of experience for many times. Just a couple of days ago, I was trying to respond to some old discussions left in my email notification. When it was posted, I discovered that my previous response made a few months ago was just above my new one. Interesting, huh? So it is a good idea for me to always delete those old ones so that I won't repeat the same thing. lol

I think I may have done so once, but I didn't really check because the discussion had so many pages, and I could no longer be bothered to go through all of them. I just had the feeling though that I've replied to the discussion before. I do know that I have almost done so quite a few times, but the discussions had few pages, so I was able to check, and instead of replying, I would just comment on my previous reply to add more insight. I have also consciously replied again to one friend's discussion because I had a new answer and the previous situation I was in no longer applied, so I felt like I had to answer again.

it has not happened yet. but it might because when i have overtime work in the office i sometimes go back mylotting same as you, takes two days sometimes three before i go back mylotting. and with everything coming so fast nowadays, there is a possibility it would happen to me too.
nothing to worry. its just a process industrious people experience. happy mylotting!
