so whats the deal with alot of games being too easy? i mean games were challanging back in the day but now everyone is a gamer and noone can really be concidered a true gamer. we spend hours upon hours learning all the best combos note books of codes and cheats when the internet was still in its cradle and still not available to everyone. now you can just log on to any site and have it tell you what to do. to alot of people games are bad "it makes kids stupid" is what they'll tell you but thats only cause they go to sites cause they give up too quickly. honnestly games make you think in a different annor than what school tells you and personally helps your imagination games like final fantasy have such a diverse style of art and ideas that can help insipre others to do the same type of thing give them new insite to projects and all that noise. I just thing that people are making games too easy and not really putting enough thought and energy into their projects

There are some games that are very easy, but there are other games that are so hard that you can't even think about beating. I wish that they would provide more levels that you can download (even for a fee) to add to the fun of the game.

yeah that would be great alright but i guess companies are looking to make the next big thing to make though instead of smaller things for games already released

Base on what i noticed playing different games... what companies i been seeing are doing is releasing games that you can just pick up and play without relearning everything every time you pick up the game if you took a break...... But i don't really mind being easy, as long as I can enjoy the game, for it story the very least. But i do mind them cutting games's length BY ALOT! latelty.... Like Batman GREAT GREAT GAME i enjoy it alot but problem is.... TOO short 8-10hours tops? what happened to all games that tooked 20+ hours... I miss those... and i feel like i dont get what i deserve for the prices of 65$ (with tax) and cheated out that i can beat a game under a day... While I understand FPS being 10-20 hours to playthru in some cases longer... but not when games could had done it so much better if it only was little bit longer.

One game that was criticized was Bioshock. I thought it was difficult at times but when you die you re-spawn at a "vita-chamber" which makes the game easier. Sometimes I'm glad when games are easy but I do try the harder difficulties. It gets frustrating if a game is too hard.

Is it the games that are easy or is it that people give up too easily as you've said? I think games are still hard if you play them without cheats and walkthroughs. My husband more then I, tries to work through the game before going to a guide. I find that the guides are useful and doesn't take away from the game play. There's many ways we can still challenge ourselves, though I do admit that it's a lot better to keep trying to work through a game without going to the site. Maybe even stopping game play for a bit and going back after getting calmed down.

Yeah i tend to agree you and in a lot of games its true that you can get through them to easily but for me a game should be played without having to look up cheats to get through it more quickly, or even skip levels.......... i mean whats that all about?. Games aren't cheap so why anyone would want to cheat or skip levels totally baffles me. The only time i would cheat would be if ive been been stuck for days on a level that i just cant get passed other that whats would be the point of playing the game. Anyway thats enough of my rant:)....... yeah games are to easy but thankfully there are a lot more RPG'S out there on the market that acctually make us think...:) Pete

gamers are all about vs now. they gave up on the single player games that took skill and practice. there were so many games for the NES that were truly challenging and you could never beat on the first run like so many games today. try beating the orig ninja gaiden. its 10x harder than the new generation.

So, it's not about games being made to be too easy, but gamers are making the game too easy for themselves by looking up cheats/faqs/guides/etc. right? (I got a little confused at first at what you were saying.) I think that some people think that "video games makes you stupid" because they think about how simple games were back then. Simple button smashing or shooting type games. People who make those kinds of comments, most likely have never played a video game all their life and don't understand how complex games can be sometimes. I don't think it has that much to do with people looking up cheats/faqs/guides/etc. (but that's just my opinion).
