My sister has had a normal flu for a week (the doctor said it nothing dangerous), i think. and her boss told her to wear a face mask at work. She laughed, (she thought he was kidding. I'm not so sure if he was.) but wearing a mask at work, ALL day, is not easy. you don't get enough oxygen, you brain will probably slow down. it is uncomfortable, and it is hard to breath, who would wear a mask all day, ill or not ill. The other day in the mall i saw two people wearing masks and holding hands.. they looked weird, nobody in the mall was wearing masks except for them, and if they are so conscious of their health, then holding hands will probably transfer the influenza too. The numbers of cases of influenza virus h1n1 is increasing, yes, but i don't think i can take masks for long, maybe half an hour but not too long. how about you?

Hi dex, well no offence to your sister but I think she should have stayed at home with the flu as I think most people wouldn't want to work alongside her in case they caught it from her. And please, the idea of wearing a mask all day in the workplace is just ridiculous when the germs could just as easily be spread by her touching thngs other people would then touch. Personally I think it's just best to stay home and not risk spreading it.

She did stay at home for a week i think, but then she had an important paper due soon, so she had to go. Her work require does not require her to move or touch a lot of stuff. just her own computer and table. She isn't as laid back as.. me perhaps, but she had to go to work after one week. I thought so... her boss is taking it too far, i mean, it was confirmed that she did not have influenza, (thank god) the guy should just relax.

I think your sister's boss at work an attitude is right. However,in the global spread of Influenza A H1N1 influenza situation, wear a mask isolated the virus is undoubtedly one of the effective preventive measures.Masks only protect a certain degree of health, prevention of the virus to a H1N1 this is useless, timely and mouth is not infected, the boby will also be infected, the possibility of still larger,so we still have to strengthen their physical bodies and wash their hands, drink plenty of water,do not rely on a mask on their own!

I do not wear a face mask at work nor does any of my coworkers or management. They do not feel a mask is necessary. Washing hands regularly with soap or using hand sanitizers is the best way to avoid getting the swine flu. I keep hand sanitizer by my desk and we have them attached to walls throughout the building. It is not comfortable wearing a mask all day long. People who do not feel well should stay home and see a doctor and get treated.

We never wear face mask in the office. I am not very comfortable with face masks it seems I couldn't breath properly.lol!Thank God, swine flu is not really rampant in our place, so we don't need to wear face mask, but we take extra precautions with our health every now and then. I think the best precaution we would take is keep ourselves health by eating nutritious foods.
