I prefer to cook. When I stayed with my friends I always tried to escape from washing utensils. Even now sometimes I quarrel with my girlfriend over washing dishes. But still sometimes I have to wash a sink of utensils, who can defy GF's orders.:)

Seems like all of us who responded to this discussion prefer cooking than washing the dishes LOL. I also love to cook and it often drives my husband crazy that I keep on piling discarded knives and bowls on the sink plus leaving the vegetable or fruit peelings on the counter while I tend to what I'm cooking. He'd often say, "Clean as you go!" because he was once a McDonald's crew member and was trained to always do that. I'd often retort that "I wasn't a kitchen crew when I was a teenager so don't bug me. I'll clean up AFTER I'm finish cooking." What's funny is, when he can't stand the mess, he'll clean up after me. But it is frustrating sometimes when I would leave a pair of tongs, knife, chopping board or wooden spoon on the counter that I am still using, and when I turn around, it's already washed and hanging on a hook! One thing he can't complain about is the food because he loves my cooking :)

Hi! Thanks for choosing my reply as the BR. Glad you appreciated what I shared :) Continue cooking and, hopefully, having someone else wash the dishes for you too :p

I prefer to cook also. I do not use a whole lot of utensils when doing so and I do not make messes. I keep my messes cleaned up as I go. I put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher also or wash them by hand if there are only a few of them.

I much prefer cooking over washing the dishes. I am not really fond of washing the dishes but it does go along with cooking so I have not choice. If I could just cook without having to wash dishes I would be in heaven because I like to cook, but I hate the clean up afterwards. I would bake a lot more if I didn't have to clean up.

I prefer to wash dishes than to cook because I'm not a good cook. Sometimes I'm also cook but I hate when my sisters and my mother criticize the food that I have cooked. Sometimes I hate also washing dishes when I'm the one assigned to wash it.

I love cooking and thankfully am a good cook. So i get to cook, while others do the menial chores like dicing up the veggies and of course, the nightmare named washing utensils. But then, I have done my fair share of that as well.

i prefer cooking to washing utensils anytime. It is because I enjoy cooking but find washing utensils as work, a messy work for that. But I know some guys who like to was utensils over cooking, one of them is my cousin.
